Any DVD chance of Probe, The Phoenix, Johnnny Bago, The Charmings, Rags to Riches?

I always thought of "Probe" as a MacGyver-ish show too early for its time. I bet if it had ran just a few years later, it might have lasted a bit longer. Add me as wanting Probe.

    Weekly RoundUp 3/8/05

Warner Bros. currently has a $50 rebate for buying dfferent television show season boxes (you need 6 of them to get the full $50). It's not just for Friends, although there is a rebate form included with Friends S9. Check out message #13 of this thread for an online link to the form.

    Weekly RoundUp 3/8/05

For those contemplating the Friends bundle at BB, remember the Warner Bros. promo going on now where you get a $50 rebate for buying 6 various TV series. That would drop the price down to the $112 range for all nine seasons (+tax). That's about $13-ish for each season. edit: I found a link to...

All 7 seasons of Star Trek Voyager--$328.86 at Amazon

Amazon currently has the box of all seasons of Voyager (mis?)priced at $328.86. There is also a $25 rebate that brings the cost down to about $304. The similar sets of Next Generation and Deep Space Nine are still running at about $550 and $635 respectively. Voyager may not be the best Trek...

    Night Court/Warner Bros. Rebate Question

According to the form inside the Night Court case, you can use the proof of purchase tabs OR the UPC. I plan on using the UPC from the outer piece of paper covering the bonus DVD.

Just a heads up that the thin-8's are now available here . (Thanks to Ric Easton for the info). Only 1" thick.

DVD Thinpak and other Slim Cases

I recieved my order from ldbmart yesterday. Both the 8's and 10's have a spine of 1 7/16" and seem to be decent quality. Experimenting with a spine of 431 pixels for the inserts. The only thing I think I wouldn't like about the 8's from shop4tech would be the overlapping discs on the outer flaps.

ChadP2k...I have some converts I made of the first four seasons of South Park (300dpi, orientation of box spine corrected). All four total about 15MB. Email or PM me if interested.

DVD Thinpak and other Slim Cases

Chad...the best doubles I've run across are pictured in post #592 of this thread. AFAIK, they are only available at Staples. They are as thin as a thin single, and the hubs seem pretty good. I haven't seen any sort of thin double using the OZ hub. I've been looking for thin singles with the...

DVD Thinpak and other Slim Cases

Just thought I'd give a heads up that the 8-DVD and 10-DVD cases are now available here . According to the site, they are both 1 7/16" wide, but I'm waiting until I have them in my hands to verify.

DVD Thinpak and other Slim Cases

That's cool Ric. I may have to give those a try. How are the hubs? Still haven't found anyone to remail the 8's and 10's from the UK. (If there's someone from the UK reading this thread willing to order and mail some cases to the US, paid ahead of time of course with a few extra pounds...

DVD Thinpak and other Slim Cases

Ric...I was gonna run it through the people over at your forum as well. I really don't know how many would be still interested as there are other (cheaper) sources which are only fractionally bigger. I still prefer the OZ cases. Right now, I'm also intrigued about the 8 and 10 DVD cases...

DVD Thinpak and other Slim Cases

The best single thin I've seen has insert clips and the OZ hub, with the plastic being slightly sturdier than the Nexpak thins. I got 4 from somewhere (probably a set I put in a slim-4), but can't find a source to buy them anywhere. On another topic, I may try to organize another OZ group...

DVD Thinpak and other Slim Cases

Wow...the super-slim doubles are nice. I've been putting all my double sets except for some with spine issues and those which contain a dual-sided disc (since it looks like the hubs might touch the disc on the opposite side). I hope my Staples gets some more in soon. BTW, the first season of...

McDonald's Monopoly Best Chance 2.0 game -- with Best Buy Bucks!

I am a little upset about a rule in the "game board" which is new from last lear... "$3 Best Buy Buck limit on CDs and DVDs. Additional restrictions apply." I bought several DVDs last year completely with the game pieces, but it looks as if they're trying to stop that. I'm thinking of...

DVD Thinpak and other Slim Cases

For some things like the Indiana Jones set, I scan the box and resize it to fit a case like a slim-6. For others like Futurama, where the individual DVDs are already in slimpaks, I just toss the box. Then again, even though Roswell came in individual thinpaks, I use a slim-6 with a scan of the...

DVD Thinpak and other Slim Cases

I've been looking for quite a while and have come up empty handed so far. Andrea thought she may have been on to a source for sliimer packaging for up to 10(!!!) DVDs. I'm hoping it pans out. I bought a pack of the thin singles with clips referred to earlier in this thread and they're not too...

DVD Thinpak and other Slim Cases

I was mostly referring to clipping inserts in addition to the covers. Judging from the length of this thread, quite a few are doing it to the covers. Although, I recently got some single thinpaks with insert clips. I think I like those better even though the plastic seems a little flimsier.

DVD Thinpak and other Slim Cases

Mike, I do similar trimming on my double thinpaks, however I also trim a little off the top and bottom of the inserts, so they don't stick out from the outside cover. Glad to see I'm not the only one doing this.

DVD Thinpak and other Slim Cases

Thanks Will...I ordered a pack to try out. Couldn't agree more about making one's DVD collection different than the stuff that goes to the pawn shop. Very easy way to differentiate your DVDs (at least for now). Obviously, anything of VERY collectible value, I keep the original insert for.

DVD Thinpak and other Slim Cases

Mark, have you ever seen those types of cases in clear? That's the only reason I'm still ordering the Nexpak style of thin case. I have gotten some box sets with clear thinpaks with insert clips and decent hubs, so I know they exist somewhere. I think they were made by Scanavo, but can't find...

The shipping from Australia seems to be pretty expensive no matter who one orders from. My latest order (40 various sized cases) from PCX came up to about 97 AUS$, and the shipping was 90 AUS$. This totals about 137 US$. One is also required "to make a direct deposit payment (security issue...

DVD Thinpak and other Slim Cases

Got an email from a guy in Australia with another (cheaper) source for the OZ cases: http://www.pcx.com.au/media/media_Pack_CD.htm Interestingly, it looks like they have them in "Milky/Clear" in addition to the normal black. I ordered 10 of each the 3-DVD through the 6-DVD to check out...
