OK, where do I begin? About 10 replies back, I indicated what needed to be done to secure the $399 purchase price. You have to purchase it from BestBuy.com - and select the option to have it picked up at your local store. When you receive the E-mail confirmation, you just head over to the store...
Kenny, You don't have to worry about the store honoring the price. Just purchase the receiver on-line and select the option to pick the item up at your local store instead of having it shipped to you. Once you place your order, you will receive an E-mail confirmation from Best Buy. You then...
UliseZ, Did you have a chance to compare the 54TX to the 52TX and 56TXi receivers? If you were able to see the 55TXi on the shelves, chances are it will not be there too much longer due to the fact that the 56TXi is out in the market. It has also been my experience where I've needed to...
Ray, Approximately every few months, Best Buy sends me such coupons on the mail. These coupons are only valid for the indicated weekend printed on the coupon. However, the fine print on the coupons indicate the 10% offer can't be combined with other offers. But, some people have been able to...
Drew, You'll need to pick up the December 2004 issue to read the review since it is a current review. Chances are, it'll be on online in the future though.
Andre, For the life of me, I can't see how anyone would care to do such a thing. DPL II/IIx is fine for 2-channel mixes when you want to create a variation of surround sound to utilize all your speakers. However, taking something that has been mixed for use on all the channels and tweaking it...
Yesterday, I had enough time to get over to Borders to read the Home Theater Magazine review of the 52TX Elite receiver. The review mentioned that it features DPL IIx Game settings in addition to movies and music. So, I find that I feel pretty good about this option because my Yamaha HTR-5760...
From registered products, Pioneer would have no idea if the receiver was purchased from an authorized source or not. However, if service was required on the receiver, you could potentially be asked to provide a copy of the sales receipt. If they determine that the reseller was not authorized...
Have you stopped by the store to see if a salesperson can pull it up in their system. Usually, they can tell if it has hit the warehouse - or, if it will eventually be stocked. I'd bet that CC will be stocking it - now, it's just a question of when they will.
Rolando, Actually, the warranty for Pioneer Elite receivers is 2 years, not 3 years. Or, at least it's that long for products purchased in the U.S. Does Canada have a longer warranty for Elite products?
Go figure, the 10% off coupon just expired from Best Buy a few days back. For anyone concerned with buying this receiver locally for a good price, my guess is that Best Buy will offer another 10% promotion within a few months.
Not exactly. The MSRP on the 53TX and the new 54TX is $1,500. The suggested MSRP for the 52TX is less. But, do keep in mind, many authorized retailers sell the new 54TX for $1,000. It seems like the MSRP, when it comes to Pioneer, isn't enforced quite in the same way it is with Denon...
Stephen, That's a great price on the 1014 and you were able to support the local dealer, too. I'm going out of my skin as my 54TX will not make it here until this coming Tuesday. After work today, I made it out to see if I could spend some time with a Pioneer Elite receiver. One shop...
