The $499 Grudge Match: PS3 vs the A2 (DING!)

May be good for you, but I live in the Desert. Looks the my air conditioning bill will go up...

The $499 Grudge Match: PS3 vs the A2 (DING!)

Early reports certainly state the PS3 runs hot. Now, if that equates to an over heating problem or not is open for discussion. It was not long ago Sony had problems with systems shuting down because of heating issues. Sony stated it was because the PS3's were running in displays. As the PS3...

The $499 Grudge Match: PS3 vs the A2 (DING!)

Give me a break. A game system designed to last 10 years? There has never been a CPU based product that doesn't become seriously outdated in 3 to 4 years. The PS3 will be no different. Intel and Motorola base life expectancies of CPU's at 18 to 24 months, and like it or not, the cell processor...

The $499 Grudge Match: PS3 vs the A2 (DING!)

I am not disagreeing with this point, but if HDMI is being sold so heavily by Sony, and as a reason not to get the XBOX 360 (because it supports component only), then why would they ship components with the PS3? The PS3 will be a fine game console, but it will be a long time before we can...

The $499 Grudge Match: PS3 vs the A2 (DING!)

The $499 Grudge Match: PS3 vs the A2 (DING!)

The $499 Grudge Match: PS3 vs the A2 (DING!)

Dude, and half of them don't. Toshiba, Alpine, HP, Kenwood, Hitachi, Sanyo, Teac, Protron, Onkyo, NEC, Fujitsu and 60 or so misc. associate companies. But you are of course right, there is no support other than Toshiba, Sanyo and HP for HD-DVD. Give me a break.... And let's see, there...

The $499 Grudge Match: PS3 vs the A2 (DING!)

http://www.hddvdprg.com/eng/about/member.html A list of the HD-DVD company support. The thought that Blu-Ray has a more likely future than HD-DVD, or the other way around, is pipe dream. I am not sure how we can even make an honest assessment as most 'BD only' supporters don't even believe...

The $499 Grudge Match: PS3 vs the A2 (DING!)

A few thoughts I think you may have missed. The Toshiba has a proven (albeit not long) track record of being able to delivery top notch quality. There is little doubt that the 2nd gen players will be any different. Currently, only the Panasonic BD player seems to have the hardware and...
