Since it's a new MCU film day (Guardians Vol 3), and since I'm a geek and like to analyze data, I thought I'd
1. update a runtime / "quality" comparison I did last year in the lead-up to Multiverse of Madness.
2. see if the data suggests that the MCU films post-Endgame have been "falling" in...
I don't mind that they tried something different (though I agree it's a sizeable leap from the 1st 2 smaller "heist" films to one with the responsibility of introducing Kang). The execution, however, was poor.
For me, one of the issues is they are leaving some of the sequel stories “short” and hence less satisfying.
I’ve said before that the MCU is more complex now (more characters, deeper stories) and gets even more complex with each new entry, such that they haven’t been able to do service to...
