Peg and I are on a trip to Burlington for a couple days. It was easy to see the trees starting to turn color while driving through the Adirondack Mountains in NY and then up along Lake Champlain in VT.
But then I found myself in the Burlington City Cemetery this afternoon and this one tree...
I just realized I posted this picture of "my favorite maple" just about exactly a year ago in this thread and it had already lost a fair number of its leaves:
Colors are approaching peak here in the Northeast.
While some of our local maples at a local cemetery are just starting to turn:
My favorite tree was so beautiful today that I had to stop and take this shot wth my iPhone--even though my DSLR was safely at home:
Along with Sam and Cameron, we have been having dreary dark days here, too for the last week.
I had been wanting to take a picture--just for this thread--of a big beautiful maple tree in the city where I live which turns a beautiful yellow each year.
But it turned right before the rain set in...
