That's originally how I had it Paul when i first got got my 7.1 amp, with my towers in the corners & my bookshelves in between them. It just didn't sound that great. Once I moved my bookshelves to the sides & up higher, it really sounded good.

Where did you hear that it's past it's break in period when you buy it? I was looking through this forum prior to buying the PW2200 and everybody made a note of saying that it takes some time to break-in. Just curious if you know this for sure.

I'm not sure if we're talking about the same thing. Empire comes up with a menu on my kenwood where i can choose surround hi-res and other styles. My pioneer only comes up with the menu when i'm on video mode and does not have suround as an option. only the stereo hi res and digital. on both...

Hi Rob, FWIW Kenwood has a dv-6050 with the faroudja chip and it also plays most formats including DVD-A, and is a five disk carousel. I haven't had it very long but it seems like a pretty good deal for the 180$$ canadian that i paid.
