Ersan: I would send an email to pioneer and ask them which units have a switichable input power setting. I could be wrong, but I thought almost all did. Being cheaper to make them this way than to make 2 kinds.
Thanks. My surrounds for 5.1 are curently located at about the 110 degrees location, using Dolby's orientation method. And according to their website, I may be able to keep them there, but I will probably have to move them forward some. A hassle due to having already run the wires behind...
I looked at the Dolby site that shows the positioning of the 4 back speakers. They show the side speakers at 90 to 110 degrees (directly at the side to back 20 deg). They show the rears at 30 to 45 degrees from straight back. It seems that several people advise placing the sides at 90 deg or...
I suppose that one could try to use several wireless transmitters, albeit on different frequencies, to send information from the source to the unit...but probably with disastrous sync and timing problems.
The use of an amplifier depends on your signal strength. A bad signal in will only be a bad signal out of the amplifier. If you get an amplifier, put it as close to where the cable enters the house, to amplify all of the lines simultaneously.
One of the diferences between the Elite line and the non-Elite line is the fact that most of the Elite's have MOSFET amps while the others have Hybrid amps.
I've posted this several times, so 1 more time probably won't hurt me. I bought an Elite receiver over the Internet. I had a problem with it. I took it to an authorized Pioneer service center with my receipt, from a store 2500 miles away. They fixed it no charge in 2 days. How can a...
I just want to state again what I have for a couple of years. About 2 1/2 years ago I had my Elite receiver fail. I had bought it thru SoundCity. I live in California and SoundCity is in New jersey. I took my receipt and my unit to a local authorized repair center for Pioneer. They took...
Try one of these. I have used the EMS 880's for 3 years and find them excellent for the money. One needs large woofers for any outdoor speaker. http://www.fcsurplus.ca/shopping/sho...tdoor+Speakers
FYI... I had a probalem with a Pioneer Elite receiver I purchased over the internet, the store is probably 2500 miles from my house. I took the unit and a copy of the receipt to an authorized pioneer service center and they fixed it no questions asked.
Dual fronts won't work. You'll get phase cancellation and other issues. Your 'friend' needs to put his foot down, or he is not going to have a workable home theater arrangement.
