I liked The Fabelmans, and I won't be surprised or upset if it wins Best Picture or Best Director.
However, I don't think it would be "trollfacing" to give the award to something else. There are a lot of good movies in the conversation this year. I don't think there is one clear frontrunner...
It has been available as a $19.99 rental or $24.99 purchase during what the studios call the "premium video on demand" window. This is when they try to charge more because it is a current theatrical release.

Good to know. I have not experienced that before. Hopefully they'll update the release date soon and there won't be an issue. I've seen some places say February 7 and other places say February 14, so I'm not sure which one it actually is.
Speaking of his other films: The Color Purple remake, which Spielberg is producing, is scheduled for release in December. I want to be very clear that I don't have any insider information and don't want to start a rumor or anything. But it would make sense for the original film to get a 4K...
