    4 Beginner Subwoofer Questions

I recently bought a new subwoofer, and its much more advanced than my old one, so I had some questions. 1. Phase 0/180 - What exactly does this do, and why are there only two options (0 or 180)? 2. Low Pass Cross Over - What exactly does this do? My guess is that if there a frequency or...

Does the PS3 upconvert standard DVDs?

I am redoing my home theater area, and by luck, I was able to grab a PS3 (20GB version) at Best Buy. I was going to buy an upconvert DVD player with HDMI for about $130, but now I am thinking, does it make sense to buy, or cant I just use my PS3 as my DVD player. The only issue, is that I...

    Question - HDMI Switching...

I am thinking about buying a receiver that has HDMI switching capabilities, so I would only have to run one HDMI wire to my plasma. To me, it makes sense that the more times there is a break in the direct line to the TV, distorition is added to the signal when it finally gets to my TV, and...
