When talking about PS4 games playing on PS5 we are all ignorant. Until the game is played on the new console, and it is explained about the differences between old, and new consoles we don’t know how different the game will play, look, or sound. Chances are it will be slightly improved in one...

[ I don't know what tell you other than they are both games will play on the PS5. No specific TLOU2 release. But I can see that happening down the line. I haven't a clue on how enhanced the PS4 games will be. Most likely better frame rates. Lol! Radical Reggie isn't having it. So far...

I wish I was still into FF, but I have been done with that IP for a long time (except for the FF7 remake which I only bought because it was one of my favorite games ever). If I was still into that series I'd be happy too.

I'm honestly not trying to thread crap. I keep hearing how great the reveal of games was for this, and I just have to shrug my shoulders. Nothing about any of it excited me in the least. The exclusives both launch, and long term left me cold. Completely. The "Demon Souls" remaster was...

LOL! Those scalpers are the real winners:laugh:. They bought em up like crazy flooded E-Bay with thousands of listings (for a pre-order no less). Problem is the market is so over saturated on that site they have to undercut each other to try and get a sale. I'm seeing most disc based systems...

Yeah, the whole "Hold on to your PS1-PS3 games" quote seems to be nothing but misinformation. So much about this system has yet to be revealed though. My biggest curiosity is VR. Will they implement a new wireless headset for the PS5?

Sony's customer service is legendary now. I once didn't have password enabled on my PS4, without me knowing my very young nephews bought like $100 worth of DLC for a game. Sony let me keep all the content, and gave me my money back. THAT is going above, and beyond customer service.

I remember when the PS4 launched, it was pretty hard to locate a console if you didn't have an early pre-order in. I didn't locate one until 4 months later, and I just got lucky when I found one at Wal-Mart (they were still sold out online for a while after that yet). I think the PS5 will be...

Weirdly worded statement. 4K disc hasn't gone anywhere. It is growing slowly, and suddenly millions of people will have a UHD player in their home with their PS5. Which isn't going to exactly hurt the format.

PS4 BC makes sense, but as for the earlier consoles? I don't see the point actually. I honestly believe that ship has sailed.

I find this two different types of consumers. The people that still own their PS1, and PS2 (and beyond) discs. Which falls into the video gaming niche (extremely small) market. And those casual gamers that grew up with the PlayStation, and have long since sold, or gotten rid of their old...

That is what confuses me the most. the PS NOW service is catered to the millions upon millions of casual gamers. Those that still own deep catalogue titles are so few, I mean worldwide it has to be less than 50,000 people. Is that worth creating Backward comp. as a selling point, and on the...

Terry, I strongly recommend the Xbox One "S" system. For about $250 you can have one heck of a 4K player that does everything (Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, 3D) and the UHD disc playback rivals my expensive Panasonic player. It is also really fast. The streaming apps are great (I use it for...

3D is a touchy subject. Televisions no longer support 3D and have not since 2016. But many projectors do, and don't seem to be in a hurry to eliminate that feature. On the Software side it is dead in the U.S. (except for Warner Bros. still releasing seldom/random titles) other countries...

The PS5 is going to support VR. It will definitely have 3D. Rumor has it the Price will be $550. If the next Elder Scrolls game is launched with it, day one for me. No question about it.

The XBox 360 sold close to 85 million units. Although the PS3 sold a few million more units it was a pretty close race. Both were hugely successful. Sony dominated this generation by so much it almost seems Microsoft was forgotten. The Microsoft exclusives were nowhere near what I would...

I don't really know the statistics of retro video game owners- collectors (I would guess maybe a million worldwide..if that) so offering backward compatible functionality at this point does seem sort of pointless. I just think Microsoft is covering all the bases to make themselves the "Gamer...

What do you find funny? I didn't say everyone would care. I said it is a huge win for physical media...which it is. The PS5 will sell millions, and millions of units. If a small fraction of those consumers get into 4K discs because of the PS5, that is fantastic for the UHD format. More sales...
