We are several episodes in, but haven’t caught up and I’m a bit hesitant since it’s still in limbo as far as a renewal.

I checked this out too. We typically enjoy science fiction mysteries like this, and we enjoyed Fringe a lot but never finished it. It's promising so naturally, we are afraid that we will get invested before it spins off in some strange direction and is canceled.
