I'm finding that the top/screen feels too loose for my liking.
it stays up if it is nearly straight up but as soon as i tilt the keypad part up
or tilt the screen back slightly the screen slides all the way back.
I don't know how I would get windows xp from my very old desktop onto my Air.
So I would have to buy a new copy of windows which from what I see is over $100 so I might not be so interested in doing this after all just for
One or two programs that need windows to run them.
I have a 4g ram drive...
Finally pulled the trigger on the Samsung bluray drive. It's now $80 on amazon.
I'm now thinking about adding Windows to this Air now since my old desktop is about to explode.
Is it possible to use the 1tb external drive to load windows on since my air is only 128?
I guess I need an...
Glad you like it.
It's been my default for over year now.
I think someone over at DVDtalk posted a beta that I signed up for and they let me get the beta.
Not sure about passport is that a universal password saver?
Rockmelt does switch to wherever you are because you have to log into it and it...
Ron thAt Rockmelt browser works very well for me.
It is intended more for people who use twitter and FB as it fully integrates those and maybe some other social medias directlyinto o the interface of the browser.
Yep, Steve I have that in my saved cart from when you posted that last week.
Probably pick it up next week.
I don't need to worry about bookmarks. They are always Internet saved. I use the Rockmelt browser and it keeps everything i need saved there.
Probably like google chrome I think does the...
Yes I was right at the store buying it while you and I where trying to get me a cover for it.
It's working very well so far.
Still need to pick up a DVD/blu drive.
I'm glad someone mentioned migration assistant. I had no idea there was such a think.
I'm transferring about 9gbs from the old one...
I sure dont know.
I also dont know how long it takes apple to send me the new os. whats it called this time, mountain lion?
the Air did not have it installed but they gave us a website to get a code or somthing for a free upgrade.
we had to send in a copy of the reciept and wait to get verified...
I figured that Sam.i did like the idea of that drive sitting on a desk and not having a need to touch or movie it.
After we left the apple store I found that she bought a two year extension of apple care for $200. Wow, that was a surprise.
Yea pretty diceiving on that contest. Oh well no harm done here but I know you're not happy about it.
Looked At those reviews and looks like I'll be returning that to Costco.
Ron I know you need a bigger hd and I really don't.
My wife will decide on the size of the air we get but we are getting the air.
You guys talked me into the blu-ray drive too.
Of course I knew you guys would also stear me in the right direction.
One other thing that the apple store offered is...
This is a little bit of why I think my wife and to a lesser degree me, was thinking of getting the mbp since it already ncluudes a disc drive, has the bigger hdd and is the same price or cheaper if using the school discount.
we have decided to get the air but I'm not thrilled about needing...
The external drive goes with.
Looks like we will be getting the air but the smaller drive version. I think it's 126 gb's
We have an external with plenty of room so that should be fine.
We are waiting for a check to come in next week so we'll pick this up n Monday or tuesday.
Sam, I looked at...
Ive always hated Lego.
Nothing like building a toy that is made to fall apart as soon as you touch it.
We were also on Costco today and the apple store now is about the size
Of the old one before they enlarged that one.
Now it looks like its going to be huge.
I'm a the apple store now just to look. I already use a 500 g. Seagate for iTunes.
The current mb has an 80g hd and we barely have enough space on that even without iTunes in there.
No games.
Ok you guys convinced me, now I will convince her.
I like that drive you linked to on amazon Sam.
We already have an external 500 gb hd so we should be fine if we need more room.
We actually live near the Del Border close to north Wilmington and there is a best buy there but The one
right near...
I see that BB is having a sale on mb's and Air and they actually beat Apples school discount by $25 on the air. Is there price matching g in the Apple store?
Yes she qualifies for a discount. It's $100 off the lower priced mbp and $50 off the air.
She looks at the numbers and sees that the 13" has 500gb hd and higher ghz numbers, the air for the same price has a smaller 4gb memory and 256gb hd.
The MBP is essentially double that and doesn't have a...
In a startling development the misses has decided wha she wants and it's this......
13-inch: 2.9 GHz
2.9GHz dual-core Intel Core i7
Turbo Boost up to 3.6GHz
8GB 1600MHz memory
750GB 5400-rpm hard drive1
Intel HD Graphics 4000
Built-in battery (7 hours)2a
[/I]Steve and Ron and Sam, the advice is greatly appreciated.
I have no idea what ssd is Or optical drives or why I should want that. I'm guessing I do.
We, well I plan on a 13" whether it be the mbp or the air with probably minimum 500gb hd. Looks like the air has a 128 flash drive.
I'm looking...
