Relatively how much output would I lose from replacing the 18" PR's with 15" PR's to save money? The plans call for 24"cube 1x av15 2x 18" 1600g PR I want to replace the 18" PR's with 15" 1400g PR's. Would I lose lots of output and extension or would I not even notice? Thanks D.

It's true. I have 4 of them now and they are almost identical to their R1 counterparts except without a UPC code. They play fine in my unmodded Panasonic RP-32.

When I bought my IL10's I paid around 120 dollars for the pair from the Harman store on ebay. They are refurbs but were in perfect condition with a full factory warranty. As far as I know the employee cost on Alpha 20's is $182 dollars a pair. So you might be able to score some IL's on ebay...

I remember something about Onkyo's receiver's volume is increased logarithmicly, so you aren't even at half volume till about 70 or so. I know someone knows and will back me up on this. So drop your speaker adjustments back down to -0 and crank the volume and don't worry about it. D
