Pre-Order Paramount Presents: To Catch A Thief (Blu-ray) Available for Preorder

I will wait for reviews as the current Blu-ray is very nice overall. Shimmering shirt is distracting, though.

Press Release Warner Archive Press Release: Reflections In A Golden Eye (1967) (Blu-ray)

Loved this film for over 30 years, but I hate the 'gold' version. It is sickly to watch, and although that's what Huston wanted, I can't stand the film this way. Glad that they are including both versions, though.

Cool! Another Hitchcock title. The only American period ones left are Mr & Mrs Smith, Stage Fright & Under Capricorn. The latter 2 could be considered 'British' since they were filmed there.

Alfred Hitchcock films available on blu-ray

So, currently there are 32 blu-rays and 20 DVD's of his 52 films out there. Not counting the lost "Mountain Eagle" or the German version of "Murder" called "Mary" and the sound and silent "Blackmail" , which both count as 1 film each not 2.

Alfred Hitchcock films available on blu-ray

Just watched Sabotage from Network U.K. It's region B locked. The picture and sound quality are quite nice, maybe a notch above their last release of Young and Innocent. Picture is stable with good grain and no noticeable film damage. Some mild contrast wavering and soft shots, but I think this...

The Other Side of the Wind on blu-ray in 2015?

Yes. it's disappointing that more money hasn't come in yet. I agree with the above post that some big Hollywood names that are supposed Welles fans could contribute 2 million out of their petty cash, and yet those of us who have very little disposable income are contributing.

I remember enjoying this when it came out. I still remember one of my favorite film title mash-ups: Never Say Never Cry Wolfen Again.

    A Few Words About A few words about...™ - Jamaica Inn -- in Blu-ray

Great to hear. I assumed it would look good due to the 4k scan, but nice to hear confirmation. Being a Hitchcock collector I of course have pre-ordered and will enjoy a great presentation at last. It won't get many plays over the years, as it's not a favorite of mine, but I'm hoping my opinion...

John Huston films available on blu-ray

That's interesting...I also meant that no mention was made in say Huston's autobiography. He does mention color experiments on several of his films. I'd like to see it in sepia tone.

Yes, that's what I heard, too. I saw some clips on their website and Beat The Devil looks pretty darn good.

John Huston films available on blu-ray

I don't doubt what you saw but I can't find any reference to this anywhere. There was a colorized version years ago from Turner.

John Huston films available on blu-ray

The Spanish BD of Moulin Rouge is the same as the French one. Removable subtitles. Nice detail and color. This was digitally restored and is likely the same source used for both. There's some very minor print damage & speckles here and there, but a nice upgrade.

John Huston films available on blu-ray

If it looks better than my Aussie import I will buy it, otherwise I'll save $34. Warner Archive told me that they're considering several of these titles for a blu-ray release.

The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean...coming to blu-ray?

Fat City looks and sounds very good. No print damage, good grain visible. A few scenes which are dark here and there are present, as well as some grainy 'blow ups', both of which are in the original film. The Kremlin Letter is similar to the above review. Very nice presentation, although the...

The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean...coming to blu-ray?

Warner Archive replied to me on their Facebook page that this title and several other WB owned John Huston films were under consideration for a near future blu-ray release, but that more work would be needed. I'm guessing that means a fresh scan. By the way, Fat City is on blu-ray from Wild...
