    Doctor Sleep (2020)

Sad for a far superior film to IT Chapter 2.

    Doctor Sleep (2020)

Forgot to mention the sound design and score are also masterfully constructed to create the maximum amount of mood, emotion, and tension.

    Doctor Sleep (2020)

Super solid adaptation of Doctor Sleep. Beautifully acted and directed. Need another viewing and some time to let it percolate before I make a final call. Definitely in my top 10 Stephen King adaptations. Possibly top 5. Love how Mike Flanagan takes time to build characters. And he...

Speaking of Rebecca - here's a fantastic, non-spoilery, audio interview with Mark Kermode:

    Doctor Sleep (2020)

Have to add I'm also excited to see how Rebecca Ferguson handles Rose The Hat. Rose is a great villain and Ferguson has ably demonstrated her ability to play a strong character in the last two Mission Impossible movies. She is well cast for this role.

    Terminator: Dark Fate (2019)

With the exception of Salvation, I've enjoyed the Terminator movies to one degree or another.

    Doctor Sleep (2020)

Will do. I've got high hopes all based on Flanagan being attached to this as the writer and director.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019) Non-Spoilers!

Understandable considering how the characters and story were the biggest complaints for The Last Jedi. I prefer to know ahead of time.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019) Non-Spoilers!

That's a nice character beat to be sure but it's for a character that has been given little to do in this trilogy. Where's the same moment for Rey, Kylo, etc - aka the main characters? So yeah, character and story are the most important things for me. SW music and images are fine - but those are...

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019) Non-Spoilers!

heheh. To each his own. Given where the previous movie left off, there are a thousand different directions this one can head. Would have been nice to have provided a few sign posts or tease where the main characters' heads are at.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019) Non-Spoilers!

Agree there is a balancing act in crafting a trailer. For me this trailer did little to heighten my interest. All it does is leans heavily on the iconography of the series without providing any substance.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019) Non-Spoilers!

OK trailer with the required SW images and music. And that's about it. Only 1 dialogue exchange in the whole trailer so no glimpses into where the character's heads are at. No context provided for anything. Little idea what the movie is about. Movies are about story and characters and this...

What is the greatest movie quote of all time?

Toss up from the same movie: "Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies." OR "Get busy living or get busy dying."

Jon Favreau's The Mandalorian on Disney+

Dumb question. Who are we supposed to cheer on for in this show? The Mandalorian? He's a bounty hunter, no? Or is he gonna a bounty hunter with a heart of gold?

    Doctor Sleep (2020)

More excited for this than I was for IT Chapter 2. Mostly because of director Mike Flanagan who did a bang-up job directing Gerald's Game and his Netflix - Haunting of Hill House - is an instant classic for me. Love the first trailer. The second trailer does a good job of explaining what the...

Game of Thrones Season 8 (2019)

Another rushed season of #GOT. Liked the characters arcs but FELT few of them. The final episode played out in the best story way possible - surprising but inevitable. Forget the prequels gimmee that Ayra Goes West series!!

It: Chapter Two (September 6, 2019)

Creepy indeed. Harkens back to the creepiest moment in the first movie in the library with the out of focus shots of the librarian over Ben's shoulder as he researches Derry history. Really curious about Muschetti's approach to the adult side of the story, as it is the weaker part. Wonder how...

    Avengers: Endgame SPOILERS ALLOWED THREAD

Agree. Prefer Bucky being able to intuit it. Somewhat related there was a lot of nonverbal communication throughout the film and especially in the climax. Strange's 'one' to Stark was another great example.

What's everyone's thoughts on Tony being able to do the snap? Thanos - a far mightier being needed a gauntlet forged in the heart of a neutron star. Hard to believe Tony's armour is that strong... Biggest inconsistency in the movie for me.
