Those were never subforums, but something called prefixes. You can still browse that way, by clicking on a 3D prefix. For example, this link will show you the same thing: https://www.hometheaterforum.com/community/forums/blu-ray-and-uhd.88/?prefix_id[0]=10
AOL's website? Or AOL explorer? If the latter, that is not supported. You will need to download Firefox, Chrome or Opera. If you're on Windows 10, Edge works too.
It's probably more a fact that a bug was fixed. You probably uploaded it some time in the past before this permission was in effect. Animated avatars are limited to folks who are Supporters or Patrons:

It does if you have access - I'll need to stop showing it to folks who aren't eligible. The dark style is only accessible to premium members, or senior members.
@Malcolm R - I created a poll to collect some feedback on this. Please be sure to respond there:

Thanks - I get what you mean now. The screenshot here shows the old look on the left, new on the right. Our goal was improved readability.
You're saying you prefer the old font on the left?
This one menu (which we intend to fix) aside, where else have we taken a step back aesthetically? Always open to feedback, but your comment doesn't seem particularly constructive.
The site is actually faster by every metric (nearly 30%). The first thing I'd suggest doing is clearing your browser cache. If you can give any specific links/screenshots or examples for me to look at, that would be helpful.
Thanks - I have added what is missing and fixed the order now. The menu used to grow horizontally to take up less space, so that might be what you are missing. Will add working on that to my list.
Howie,
You can click on Forums itself to be taken back to the forum home, which is what I think you are after. Are you looking for a duplicate link?
I just fixed the links.
The goal with this upgrade was to get us to the latest version of XenForo, which brings some meaningful improvements under the hood, in addition to some nice features for you.
To get a summary of what is new in XenForo 2.2, see below.
