Norm, Their are differences in A/V rec. that bring out different things. Yamaha sounds fantastic with Klipsch. Denon sound good with Klipsch.

I have been matching Polk and Denon for years and what you will find is a very nice compliment of bass and midrange as well as a clean set of highs. I Know you will be very pleased with a 3802 or 4802 combination.

John, Keep them spaced apart as you had mentioned but look at moving them up, do not go over 5 1/2 -6 ft. keep in mind you want to hear them not be distracted by them.

The ultra 2 spec allows for and recommends the placement of directionals. This has been a change due to the demands of the Multi channel music demands. FYI HT mag had a preety good article about ULTRA 2 that would answer a few more questions for ya!! This months issue.

Get a CB12 connecting block, A Dinky Link pick up, and use a mini to mini cable from the out of the block to the in on the recv. Good luck You can also go to www.Xantech.com)

The IR input is for after you go through a Xantech connector block. So you will need a pick up sensor (dinky link) the conector block, and then a mini from the block to the back of your recv. This will pick up the incoming signal and repeat it to the input of the recv.
