He gets good performances out of his main players in this film too.

Nice Guy Eddie is one of my favorites (love Penn’s performance- the scene when he gets wise to Mr. Orange at the end of the film is great).

Anyone have any thoughts about what this new release looks like? I noticed that it’s available at Wal Mart now, but still waiting for my copy from Amazon.

Cool artwork- better than the bloody ear. Slightly off topic- for those who remember the 10th anniversary DVD set with the different sleeves you could purchase- I believe the sleeves had Mr. Pink (which I have), White, Blonde and Orange. Is this correct, or am I wrong?

Hmmmm- not crazy about that cover. A photo of all the gangsters sitting in a group (at the restaurant in the opening scene) would have been a better choice.

Will lap it up- in my top 2 films of all time (The Godfather is the other).

I definitely agree with your points that the widescreen laserdisc had a horrendous side break- cutting into a conversation between Mr. Blonde, and Nice Guy Eddie, and this is an underrated film. I think it’s a great debut of Quentin’s- both writing and directing.

Funny that I just watched Dogs a couple of weeks ago. I really like Penn’s performance.

Wow! I hope it’s only a matter of time until Pulp and Jackie are released in UHD (I figure these announcements are on the horizon). Jackie really needs a transfer upgrade- just looks a bit hazy and soft to me.
