    Blu-ray Review Shivers – Blu-ray Review

It was filmed in and around my native Montreal (primarily on Nun's Island). When the film was originally released in English in Montreal (and probably other cities) it was called "the Parasite Murders". I was also friends with the late Kirsten Bishop(ric). She told me once that the scene where...

Pre-Order Mission: Impossible: The Original TV Series (Blu-ray) Available for Preorder

I think the first 4 seasons were the best and seasons 5-7 basically fought crime in the US. The stories became less interesting and less believable were also shot mostly in and around Paramount studies. The infamous episode with William Shatner where they built a city and populated with extras...

I believe so and there part episode called The Falcon with an abundance of guest stars, Noel Harrison, Lee Merriweather, Diane Baker, John Vernon, and Logan Ramsey. The story collectively runs 2hrs and 15 minutes.

    Dr. Cyclops – Blu-ray Review

I don't think Albert Dekker's death could be considered mysterious. Unusual, weird, strange might be better words. This is from Wikipedia. I first read about in Hollywood Babylon. He was naked, kneeling in the bathtub, with a noose tightly wrapped around his neck and looped around the shower...

DVD Review The Complete PRC Michael Shayne Mystery Collection DVD Review

I have a collection of the original printings mainly for the artwork. The later releases had photos of women that obviously were trying to capture the James Bond audience. The editions with the artwork are more to my liking

For the fun of it maybe I should get this release. And BTW I was not named after the character. My mother never heard of him.

Blu-ray Review Sweet Charity Blu-ray Review

It's too bad that they couldn't branch the happy ending onto disc one, so you can choose which version you'd like to see. And have disc 2 have the shorter, neighborhood theatres, version for comparison. But I will get it anyway.

Fun fact #1 The only PG-rated film that shows full frontal male nudity. Fun fact #2 The movie Cruising was filming in the Village at the same time and protesters confused them because they both had leatherman. Allan Carr finally had to tell the protesters: We’re the good guys making a good gay...

    Public Domain

It would be very rare if the shows you mentioned would be in the public domain. The only way it could happen if the copyright date was omitted. Many of the shows were produced by the same producers/studios so I doubt they have let it slip into PD. The last TV shows I know that are in public...

A Few Words About A few words about...™ For a Few Dollars More - in Blu-ray

I would love to see Duck You Sucker on Blu. It played uncut for over two years at a small cinema (Alexis Nihon 2) near my home in Montreal. I must have seen it five times during the run. Usually on a Sunday afternoon. I hated the FIstful of Dynamite cut.

Blu-ray Review The Original Christmas Specials Collection: Deluxe Edition Blu-ray Review

It's too bad that the special features don't have the alternate songs, other material and end titles for Rudolph. Most interesting was that the first broadcast on NBC did not have Santa going back to the Island of Misfit Toys to get the toys. Audiences complained and the producers filmed a new...

Re: Glynnis Johns in A Little Night Music. It was a money issue. The German money men wanted a star of international stature to play the lead and Liz Taylor was that person at the time. Johns was a name, but far from being a "star". This was also the reason why the story location and the...

Pre-Order 2001: A Space Odyssey (4k UHD) Available for Preorder

I saw the re-release of 2001 on an IMAX screen last month. It was presented as the original roadshow version. Overture (in the dark. No title card saying Overture), a 15-minute intermission, entr'acte music, and exit music. After seeing it on a huge screen like this I thought to myself how could...

Dick said: But Widmark's part as Major Baker was the most difficult to cut down. I wanted to take out the entire military focus of the movie and try to re-establish the more scientific bent of the Arthur Herzog novel (which is excellent, by the way, and still in print). But when the main...
