Wow!...talk about a thread from the grave.
Agreed, I have a few OOP SACD's that are worth a lot of money now.
John G...we got our 2900's about the same time, mine bit the dust a few years back and I replaced it with an Oppo 103...it's just as silky. A little buggy for streaming, but all disc...
It was a round candy in a silver wrapper. It was covered in milk chocolate and the center was nuget(sp?) and caramel with whole peanuts on the top only. Anyone remember?
Thanks for the feedback guys! Yeah' I kinda' thought SVS would be less than willing to part with that information so that's why I posted it here. But hey, guess it wouldn't hurt to email them, all they can say is "go pound sand". Robert_J, the Ultra I'm looking at does have the newer TV-12...
I’ve got an opportunity to buy a used 5 year old SVS PC-Ultra that has a blown BASH amp, CHEAP. I’m considering removing the TV-12 driver and building a custom sub box to house it in for my car. Anyone heard of anyone else doing this? Well, I’m looking for the following information: What’s...
I’m going tonight to look at a used Alto Sax for my 7th grader. The sax is a local Craig’s list offering. The pictures of the sax look promising, but I need some advice. Since I don’t play, I’m at a bit of a disadvantage here. Are there any specific things that I should be watching out for? Any...
Ok...I picked it up yesterday at BB for $13.99. The two BB stores in my area both got a wopping, two copies in at each store. Obviously Bonamassa is an acquired taste. No blues to speak of on this one. Maybe Rock with a blues flavor, but that's it. I like it, but I would still rank Blues...
If you like Bonamassa, you must get "Blues Deluxe"! It's one of his best and my favorite. Also, his concert DVD "New Day Yesterday Live" is outstanding. Enjoy!
I just bought tickets to see Diana Krall and Chris Botti. Well…actually I bought the tickets to see Diana Krall…and Chris Botti was a bonus. I want to buy a couple of his CD’s before I go see him but I’m almost completely unfamiliar with his work. The only time I’ve heard Botti play is on...
Hmm...had no idea those connections would output other sources. I do have a "Tape Out", "Video 1" & "Video 2" available. Thanks for the tip Wayne, I'll try that this weekend.
***UPDATE*** Ok…was able to connect my Headroom Desktop amp to the analog Multiroom out. However, my 525 will not convert the optic (Toslink) signal from the Denon. So, I had to install a set of patch cords from the analog out of the DVD-2900 to “DVD” analog in on the 525. Also, there is not...
Thanks for the response Mike. Yeah, I thought it would work, but I wanted to get some feedback before I started pulling equipment out of my rack. Hmm...I'll have to check the manual again. Don't remember reading anything about being able to change the multiroom output from fixed to variable.
I’m trying to figure out a way to connect my new Headroom Desktop headphone amp via RCA’s to my old h/k AVR-525. Currently, I’ve got a Denon Universal player connected via the 6 channel inputs, a Pany DVD-R and a Sony VCR all connected to my 525. I’m considering using the “Multiroom” output and...
You guys are probably right. I've got an oldler gas fan-forced furnace and it puts out heat like a blow torch. I'm buying a room humidifer tomorrow. Thx! ;)
I was feely very poorly on Monday. Because of the symptoms, I thought I was just coming down with a cold. Well a day or two later as the symptoms got worse I started seeing blood in my snot when I blew my nose. Not a lot, just traces so I didn’t think much of it at the time. I did run a fever...
I wish! Unfortunately, that's not the case any longer. Some company's are opting to include at dts 5.1 track with the standard DD 5.1 and the DD 2.0 track is getting left off.
"John, I have also seen that version of Turandot." You are correct sir, I mistakenly did not transfer the full title of the DVD to my post. This has been corrected. Excellent point regarding opera boards. Sadly, it makes perfect sense. Well...I'm off to a good start I believe, thanks...
David, thanks for taking the time to school a beginner. This is exactly the type of feedback I was looking for. Per your suggestions, I’ve added these to my Netflix queue. The Magic Flute: Ingmar Bergman puts his indelible stamp on Mozart's opera in this rendering of one of the composer's...
Yeah'...but do have the FFIII soundtrack on your MP3? ;) That settles it. My second and third Netflix rentals will be Ghost in the Shell and Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence. Queue updated!
Matt thanks for the detailed breakdown! This is exactly what I was looking for. Hmm…I might also enjoy the music, as I’m an old closet Final Fantasy (1-6) soundtrack fan. Also read some good things about the Cowboy Bebop series but have never seen any of them. Should I rent that series as...
