Correction, most of the cube subs have metal grills. Both 1000 and 2000 ones appear to have cloth grills, all others have metal ones.

The default pics have the grills removed, but look at all of them on the product detail page and you'll see ones with the metal grills attached.

Oh, and, the current SVS cube subs have a metal grill. That just occurred to me. Pretty much cat proof.

Sorry Brian, but don't do that. It'll completely impede the driver's ability to do its job. Your suggestion of wrapping a cylinder sub would be an excellent solution. Something tough that can be replaced.
