I'm noticing something odd about iTunes 3.0 - and I'm not sure how well I'll be able to describe it, but I'll give it a shot. In essence, the 'random' feature seems to be a whole lot less random. I've got a library of ~5600 songs, and I like to just pop on random and see what comes up next...
One minor - but noticeable - quirk on the Star Trek: Next Generation Season 1 DVD set that I thought I'd mention, as I thought there was a bad pressing at first.
I first noticed this on the episode "When the Bough Breaks" (ep. 118, disc 5). While with the majority of the episodes on the set...

Much as I hate to do this...my speakers need to go, as they're just way more than I need for a space this small, and it's likely going to be a while before I can afford to get a place...
(I found this while digging through my old website archives. No idea of the source. Made me laugh then, and does now. Enjoy.)
ALL OUR EVERYDAYS - THE ALL-OLD GENERIC [AND ANNOTATED] (AND HIGHLY CONDENSED) ST:TOS EPISODE...

My girlfriend and I spent the past couple weeks watching the first two seasons of Sex and the City (she's never seen it before). Now that I've got her hooked on it, we're curious as to whether there's any word on HBO releasing seasons 3 and 4 (I'm assuming that 4 will be a bit down the road, as...
I just thought I'd post a little note to see if any of you might be interested...
I've spent much of the past 8 years or so DJ'ing in dance clubs, and have a series of mix sessions posted on my website. They're all continuous mix .mp3 files, ranging from 22 minutes (about 26 Mb) up to 74...
I'm just pretty jazzed about this, and felt like babbling for a few. :)
Living in Anchorage, I got very spoiled with the setup I had in my apartment there. I had a cable modem connection which fed five computers in my household - I own 2 Macs (one original iMac and one B&W G3) and one PC...
Just wanted to send out many, many thanks to everyone behind the Director's Edition DVD of Star Trek: The Motion Picture. I spent last night engrossed in the movie and the accompanying special features, and as a life-long Trek fan, thank all of you. The new edit and effects do wonders for the...
...pop in the Holy Grail SE, set the audio track to French (or maybe just mute it if you actually speak French), and turn on the 'subtitles for people who hate the film.'
I watched about half an hour of the movie like this last night, and kept bouncing between laughing and just staring at the...
I rented 13 Days (about the Cuban Missile Crisis) the other night, as I hadn't seen it, and I was curious both about the film itself and about New Line's Infinifilm brand.
The movie was certainly quite decent (though Kevin Costner seemed to do his usual trick of being an inattentive babysitter...
Just curious about this one.
I saw The Cable Guy when it came out in the theaters and absolutely hated it. I can't really explain why anymore, it's been too long for me to remember all the reasons, but I still have very strong memories of really, really not liking this movie - in fact, loathing...
Hey all...first-time post over here in the Hardware section.
I just moved to the Seattle area, and to do so had to sell off my tv (an old 46" rear-projection). Now that I'm getting set up here, I'm considering getting a 'small' to midsize (20-something to 30-something) tabletop widescreen ratio...
