I can confirm. In my car, a 2018 Mercedes Benz S450, I can pretty much do whatever I want with Carplay. Send texts or have them read to me while I drive. Use whatever NAV app I choose, although Apples app shows up in the combined screen regardless of the app I was previously using. I also...
