You won't be disappointed. The footage is really quite amazing!
For the record, even though this is my fist time watching The Fugitive TV series, I do know how it ends. Doesn't ruin my enjoyment of it one bit!
I saw The Witch for the first time last night. It had its moments, but overall I thought it was pretty weak. I just wanted him to get away from those creeps ASAP!
Got my set the other day and watched the very first episode last night and I really enjoyed it! I was a little surprised that all the Quinn Martin trademarks are there, including the "act" on screen graphics. The picture was great overall, despite a bit of a vertical line during the final...
After years of thinking about it, I finally went ahead and ordered the complete series set. Although I know the basic premise of the show, this is a totally blind buy for me, so am really looking forward to diving in soon!
Sorry you guys are having issues. I live in an apartment building and learned a long time ago not to have packages delivered there. I started renting a P.O. Box years ago and it's been one of the best things I've ever done. If something can't ship to a P.O. Box, I have it delivered to my work...
Thanks for all the replies. I guess I just need to be patient. Mine is being sent to a P.O. box and I've had delays with UPS Sure Post in the past. In fact, a different recent order never made it to me at all and I had to have them resend.
I'm getting concerned about my recent order. According to tracking, the order still hasn't shipped (just label created). Also, when I go to check my order status, it says that order # doesn't exist! Of course, they already charged my credit card. Anybody else having issues like this???
I think it's rather impressive that a make believe "band" put together for a TV show actually became a real band! The fact that they remain popular nearly 50 years later says a lot about the quality of the material.
I passed on the Blu-ray set the first time around, thinking it would either come down in price or be reissued in a "bare bones" version. Instead, I saw it going for insane prices on the secondary market. So when I saw it was being reissued, I jumped on it this week.
Got my set yesterday. Watched the first episode and I am hooked. Funny stuff! "Stinky" especially had me laughing out loud.
I concur with the others. The video/audio quality is stunning!
Glad you got your set, Tony! Mine is scheduled to arrive by Monday. Somehow, I've managed to avoid watching pretty much ANY A&C over the years. Maybe catching bits and pieces of the movies over the years. The TV show will be totally new to me!
So, I'm on the fence about buying this. I have the original DVD sets. Is the picture quality THAT much of an improvement?? I'm a little gun-shy after that recent IDOJ debacle.
As I stated earlier, the slight uptick in picture quality (which some others have questioned) simply doesn't make up for that bad audio part. It's not just a blip either, it's an obnoxious buzzing sound that goes on for over a full minute, drowning out the dialogue! I've never heard anything...
Uh, no. You may want to read my post again. I 'm returning the Blu-ray version and will NOT buy another Blu-ray set from Mill Creek again without first checking the reviews!
Picked up the DVD set yesterday and watched a few episodes. They all look fine and the audio on the "Shark" episode is perfect. I have ZERO problem returning the Blu-ray set and I will also wait for the reviews on ANY future Mill Creek releases.
Just got my Blu-ray set yesterday. I'm not as upset about the video quality as I am with that annoying audio glitch on the "Shark" episode. How in the hell does that happen??? I've been buying TV on home video for 25 years now and I've never heard/seen such a terrible glitch. I'm ditching...
Really enjoying this thread! I'm slowly going thru the episodes on Friday nights (just like the old days). I'll say it again, the video on the Blu-ray set is fantastic, a big step up from the DVDs.
