As Beckford said. 'By the Gods' website is pretty happy with this release. Steve Reeves Hercules wil do me if they are ever released on Blu ray

Has anyone got or knows about the Paramount Home Entertainment Japan versions of FOTRE or El Cid? Are the transfers any different?

I got one each of the Spirit Media special editions except I didn't realise they were SM. So that punt didn't work but the Anchor Bay one looks to be better. The Rimini are quite handsome sets so I ordered them both

Due to the disappointing FOTFE from Rimini I have orderd a couple of Blu rays off Amazon as a wild card pot luck excerise from 'obscure' labels (ones I have never heard of). I have done the same for El Cid anticipating more disappointment but I think one is already an improvement when compared...
