WTF does ARC really suck this bad?

***Quick Update*** Okay, so I took your collective advice. I purchased and ran a 2020 Ultra Roku into receiver, and then ran receiver into TV. I then went into all settings and disabled arc function, and I removed our TCL Roku TV from our home network to not confuse my wife when she casts her...

WTF does ARC really suck this bad?

No peripherals connected (CD, XBox, etc.). ARC connection rarely ever works. The Marantz/Samsung TV worked for about...
