You did ask where it came from. :) On a personal level, when I produced the expanded album for La-La Land Records I compared the audio for the long version with the theatrical cut. I also looked over all of the music takes. In every case, Barry scored the theatrical cut. All of the music in the...

Now I feel like a fool paying $40 for DS9 a few months ago! ;) A word of warning about the complete sets, at least as far as DS9 is concerned, I can't speak for the rest. I bought all of TNG as they came out, so when I select that show, it's broken down by season, making navigating to a...

    I bought "Ben-Hur" not "Ben-Hur (1959)".

I bought DS9. I have two Niners shirts, and now I have the series, so I guess I am a Niner. :)

Once this happens what incentive is there to upgrade it? And why are we having this conversation in the "Deals" thread? :)

    General Discussion Digital Movie/TV Deals

That's correct. DS9 and Voyager have not been upgraded to HD. There have been numerous discussions about this. It would be costly to re-visit those shows and the remastered TNG underperformed. Future proofing these shows is a good idea, but it's looking like there is little interest in exposing...

The series sets for "Star Trek" are half price on iTunes right now. I'm really tempted to buy DS9.

I don't understand. This thread is specifically about deals and not about iTunes 4K upgrades. That's what the other thread is for.

Download the HD version from iTunes to your computer then select "Computer" on the Apple TV and play it from there.

When I clicked "Play" on the iTunes store on my computer just now it was the 127 minute HD version. That could be AirPay'd to an Apple TV. I suspect if one were to download the movie now, it would also be this version. I can't confirm that as I download all my purchases at the time of purchase...

This is goofy, but I hope it makes sense. If you download the movie from iTunes or play it on your computer, it'll be the HD version and 127 minutes. I guess the 4K is the shorter cut.
