    Your thoughts on Kino-Lorber Blu-rays

My wife would kill me if I spent over $100 on new blurays right before Christmas. So I scaled back to about $77 or so. Lol

    Your thoughts on Kino-Lorber Blu-rays

I had picked up JC from the last Kino sale. The transfer looks really good, I had never heard of this film. The story was typical exploitation/easy rider clone which is too bad because it really could have been more with the right script. I was hoping for a modern savior type film on a bike...

I have the dvd. If I remember correctly it’s non-anamorphic so a new bluray would be most welcomed.

I picked up the following, about half are blind buys: 633 Squadron/Mosquito Squadron The French Conspiracy Heartworn Highways J.C. (never seen this but the synopsis is just over the top) Last Year at Marienbad (I bought this before, but I foolishly let someone borrow it) Thank you for the...

    Your thoughts on Kino-Lorber Blu-rays

I placed an order on 10/21 and received a shipment notification yesterday. Most of my titles were back ordered so i knew ahead of time it might be awhile but it’s a change from my usual extremely fast completed orders from KL. Guess it’s a good thing they had such a response during this past sale.

Still waiting for a shipping notice for my order from the recent sale. I ordered 10/21. Longest I've had to wait for one of their sales.

I’d be fine with a Hercules, Ursus, Samson, etc box set regardless of the star. Mark Forest was a good substitute for Steve Reeves.

    Your thoughts on Kino-Lorber Blu-rays

I realize it already has a bluray release, but it would be nice to get the TV cut of Midway (1976) out of this deal. I think I saw it elsewhere that there is an existing Japanese (?) release of this. EDIT: Another one I thought of was A Gathering of Eagles. That would make for a nice bluray...

Sorry about Mr. Lynch's non-responsiveness and then subsequent tweet. That's too bad. I'll still buy the blu-ray as the original US release DVD was extremely poor.

I remember this too. I don’t remember if it was on all future releases but I do remember this being posted by mister lime.

With regards to the current sale, I'm on the fence about White Zombie. I enjoyed the film but haven't seen the KL release. The reviews seem mostly positive but have heard good things about the Cary Raon edition too. The sale price for the KL edition seems pretty good. What are your opinions?

I placed a late order right before the sale ended and I only had one backorder out of the 6 films I purchased. Chandu the Magician is going to be a little late.

I mentioned it in the other Kino Lorber thread, but Broken Arrow with James Stewart and Jeff Chandler looks great. The transfer is beautiful and is a very good upgrade from the old DVD. A definite must buy for Western fans and Stewart/Chandler fans.
