I discovered something interesting about the deleted "Wait!" It's actually Charlie saying it! It is Mrs. Bucket's line. I am wondering if he recorded it during prerecording the song, to be used as a cue for Jack Albertson. That way they could just play it back during multiple takes. It should...

The Night Stalker tv set has an error on episode one. A key sound effect, a tea kettle whistle, is erased from the track, reappears, fluctuates in volume, and is missing again. It is important to the story. I wish they would fix this.
I understand, but FFC probably won't be around then, and any future restorations will be without his seal of approval. At any rate, the older restoration will be treasured by those who liked it, but the general public will see the newer restoration going forward.
At any rate, this restoration will be what we have moving forward. If FFC is good with the results, then I am too. These are his masterpieces, as far as I am concerned. His works of art. And his preferred look.
They wouldn't risk careers and reputations for a set-up. But they risked them anyway. Between Smith's outburst and his incoherent speech, it seems he has some serious mental issues going on. He tarnished the show for me. It is upsetting seeing stuff like this. I have PTSD from family fights and...
There needs to be a serious discussion about the software used for degraining and scratch removal. I have seen so many examples of destroyed frames due to the software and human error. Objects disappear under globs of digital paint.
I don't know how I feel about the redone text. It isn't the same exact font. Look at the letter g. And the Vito Corleone name is almost one word now. In a way, it looks better, but it isn't the original. New and improved, I guess.
Maybe because there is dialogue right at the end, and FFC wanted to make sure the entire scene would play out without dialogue and Michael walking out being chopped off.
Official answer: Intentional, because there was an over allowance for the reel change. Since the films won't be seen on 35mm reels, FFC felt the frames should be excised.
3 seconds have been cut from Part II when Michael and Kay fight, before the final Vito flashback. Kay is sitting on the couch crying. It no longer shows her.

This restoration would not have been possible without the heavy lifting RAH did over a decade ago. The team has done a great job, but his name will forever be linked with helping to save a cultural landmark.
Looks like they left in the black leader slugs on some episodes, such as Little Women. No footage is missing, but the sound repeats. I wonder if it aired this way, because they would otherwise have had to redo the reel audio pullups for the entire reel, or it would have been out of sync.
What were the minor dvd differences mentioned? Just curious.
Edit: One is no underscore in the Ben Franklin scene. That was added back for Blu. What else?
