Hey Neal, how does the Blu ray of this episode look? Is it much improved from the DVD’s? From that small clip, it did look clean.

Hey Neal, sorry about the spelling. I fixed it. Why couldn’t it be spelt one way? :)

Interesting Neal, I think I’ve seen that episode when it was broadcast during a binge. I recall Todd was to drive a speed boat. I’m looking forward to re-seeing this episode. When I saw the Guy Lombardo Port O Call sign in the screen cap, that was such a cool image of the mid century design of...

Thanks again Neil for the comparison efforts! I have a Roxbury third season set on hand and the Roxbury second season set is still on its way to me. I hope both have good discs without any playback issues. It’s good to have the visual references. In those images, it’s obvious in some and not as...

Thanks Neal, great screen caps. I look forward to watching it again. I have purchased the Third season Roxbury Route 66 set. On the hunt for the second season Roxbury set. The Diane Baker Q and A from the Marnie screening turned dark pretty fast, I only saw about 15 minutes of it, will finish now.

Randall, that article and story is pretty cool, I’ll read the image that Neal put up. It’s pretty neat that at that time, the show‘s popularity was such that cities got excited that the group was coming to their town to film an episode.

Hey Neal, I can appreciate your enthusiasm for doing the screen caps. They do however really slow down load times and it’s made these last few pages very heavy.

Hey Randall, glad my post inspired you to revisit Apollo 11 and From the Earth to the Moon! I still have a few more episodes to go. I guess I had the volume set lower during the Apollo 11 launch as I did not have the same reaction. I was more into the amazing images of the Saturn V and the...

I’ve been away from posting here a few days, wow, lots of posts and screen caps! I recently watched the episode Don’t Count Stars. I thought it was a great episode too Randall. It is a nice little story with a secret I didn‘t see coming. It’s interesting that just 2 years earlier Dan Duryea...

Thanks Neal, I did some reading on Honey West and I see it’s also an off-shoot of Burke’s Law. Even developed by some of the same writers. I can see the Peter Gunn connection too.

Randall, I looked at that house pictured above, I see it’s not too different today. It’s actually next to the one you posted: It’s fun to look at filming locations today. I am also watching The Streets of San Francisco. It’s my home town so it’s fun to use Apple Maps to look at the locations...

And thanks for the article on Route 66, I’ll be reading it at my next convenience!

Hey Jeff, Neal, I’m convinced to add Honey West to my collection. Thanks!

    Route 66

I’ve only seen this episode, a month of sundays, once and will be revisiting it soon. Seeing the clips of Anne Francis reminded me that she had a series in 1965 called Honey West. I’ve been considering picking that series up, though I’ve never seen it before except some clips on YouTube. I like...

In regards to Mr. Novak, I did some research on the series. I’ve never seen it before as I earlier said. I think it was the classic TV thread where I saw some screen grabs from the show. It appears only the first season is available. I’ll keep the show in mind. I recently picked up several other...

Some great screen caps of the last few episodes Neal. That guy in A Skill for Hunting was quite a piece of work! I’ll be reviewing these episodes in the coming days and weeks. I last left off with The Beryllium Eater. I’m not watching them in order, so I’ve been bouncing around the season.

Neal, Thanks for the Jeanne Bal link. She had a short career on TV. I’ve never seen Mr. Novak. Your posts have been about the woman on Route 66, so they’ve been who I’ve been mentioning. And I’m a long time Star Trek fan, so it’s fun to see actors who did other shows before and after their Star...

I never thought of being a veteran here, but I guess I am. :) I’ve only seen Effigy in Snow once and forgot that Jeanne Bal was in it. Surprising as I only had seen her in Star Trek.

I think when I joined the forum, it was running for some time. Not sure how long it had been around. I was at another Home Theater type forum and somehow was made aware of this forum before that other forum closed. Hard to believe I’ve been here that long. From the laserdisc days to the start...

Neal, one of the images you posted had a building that caught my eye when I recently watched the episode, An Absence of Tears. I noticed in the shot of the Corvette parked on the side of the busy road, in the background was a building with the sign, Roller Bowl. I looked that up, it’s located on...

Great collection of images. I suspect we’ll see Susan Oliver soon. :)

    Route 66

Neal, you must be using a different sourced DVD. I have the Shout Factory complete series set. I only see the warning card for using the best available source on A Fury Slinging Flame. So far, I haven’t completed watching the entire series on that set yet. Oh yeah, about Arlene Martel, she...

Just lucky I guess. :) There’s another interesting actress on an episode I recently re-viewed, An Absense of Tears. I guess you’ll get to that one sooner or later.
  27. Nelson Au

    Route 66

That’s quite a line of guest actresses. You got Arlene Martel up there as Lucia. As I recall, she does a second episode thats quite tragic. I’d forgotten about Inger Steven’s appearance in the Berylium Eater, I’ll have to re-see that one. Elizabeth MacRae I recognized from Gomer Pyle and I...

Great screen caps from Suzanne’s second Route 66 appearance. I’ve only seen that episode once. I’ll be catching up with it soon. Being a car guy too, I like the Corvette. It’s cool to see it as a new car then. The 1963 model is my favorite.

    Route 66

Suzanne Pleshette was great in that episode. Such a contrast to Emily Hartley. I watched it several weeks ago. And I watched Legacy for Lucia last week. Will you be posting Arlene Martel? :) Oh yeah, that episode with Diane Baker was a great one too. She was great in that episode as well.
