I hope so, but don't restrict it just to physical media because too many classic film noirs still haven't been released on that video format here in the States.

The second of the last two extra Noirvember titles are the following: A Robert Siodmak directed film noir with Barbara Stanwyck. What can go wrong? The leading man for one. :) Wendell Corey is a good actor, who I like in supporting roles, but he isn't lead actor material. Anyhow, this...

Another movie that I've been meaning to watch, but never got around to was "The Crooked Way" (1949) starring John Payne, Sonny Tufts and Ellen Drew. Six years ago, I purchased the Kino Blu-ray so shame on me. Anyhow, the movie's premise is about a WWII veteran, with permanent amnesia due to...

More to come later on when I have more time, but I did watch my WAC Blu-ray of "Fury" (1936) which was Fritz Lang's first American movie about mob violence and lynching. This Blu-ray's video presentation is a huge improvement over the 2005 DVD. Tracy and Sidney are excellent! I don't think...

20th of 20 Noirvember titles: This was my 20th Noirvember movie, but it won't be my last one for this month. I've been meaning to watch "Thunderbolt" (1929) for some months, but I never got around to watching the Kino Blu-ray until today. Sternberg's directed 91 minute precursor to the...

19th of 20 Noirvember titles: This weekend, Eddie Muller is showing "Tight Spot" on TCM's "Noir Alley". I haven't been a fan of this 1955 film noir "Tight Spot" (1955) starring Ginger Rogers, Edward G. Robinson, Brian Keith and Lorne Greene. The storyline of a mob moll taken out of prison...

I had a busy day watching movies on Friday. After watching a western early this morning, I turned my attention back to "film noir" and proceeded to watch three of them on Blu-ray. I ended up my movie watching with the "Citizen Kane" 4K disc. #16 of 20 Noirvember titles: "The Window" (1949)...

15th of 20 Noirvember titles: This was another first time viewing via TCM. Right now, I don't have time to write up my complete thoughts on "The Velvet Touch" (1948) an independently produced film noir starring Rosalind Russell, but I did like it until the Production Code forced an ending...

One thing I like about this film is it shows the "coppers" as they call them at home and/or among themselves.

14th of 20 Noirvember Titles: Today, I also made time for some Brit "Noir" and sat down and watched for the first time "The Blue Lamp" (1950) starring Jack Warner, Jimmy Hanley, Dirk Bogarde, Robert Flemyng and Bernard Lee. This police procedural was directed by Basil Deardin as it kind of...

Oh my, I'm in "Noir" heaven! As an early Christmas gift to myself, I placed an order from Amazon on November 13th, and it arrived this morning. What's surprising is this package came from the UK and left London-Heathrow on November 20th. DHL delivered it a few minutes ago. Yes, a few...

13th of 20 Noirvember Titles: This morning, I was in the mood to watch another "noir" film so I chose "Cover Up" (1949) starring Dennis O'Keefe, William Bendix and Barbara Britton. I haven't watch this film since the Kino Blu-ray came out about six years ago. The film takes place around...

A couple of more underrated actors I have upgraded over the years are Robert Taylor and Dana Andrews. Both appeared in several film noirs with Andrews being one of the best noir leading actors. Eddie Muller always talks about Andrews being underrated even today.

So do I as I watched it this past weekend, but haven't included it yet on my watch list. There is little doubt I'm going to watch more than 20 film noirs this month.

I think Robert Ryan was very underrated during his acting career. However, I think he's now recognized as one of the best actors from that film era. That's the great thing about home video and even TV showings as these actors might pass along, but their acting performances remains alive to...

I'm not saying otherwise, as that's exactly what I did back in August. It took about two weeks before I got my Blu-ray.

11th of 20 Noirvember titles: This was my first viewing of "The Reckless Moment" (1949) starring Joan Bennett, James Mason and Geraldine Brooks. I viewed it on the Indicator Blu-ray released in 2020. The basic film premise is about a nice family, particularly, the mother and her 17 year old...

10th of 20 Noirvember titles: Yesterday evening, I watched my 10th Noirvember movie "Obsession" aka "The Hidden Room" (1949). It's been on my DVR for weeks from an October TCM recording. It first came up on my radar back in August after one of Eddie Muller's "Ask Eddie" segments. Some...

When I watched the Blu-ray for the first time back in April, 2020, I actually had tears in my eyes because it was like watching the movie for the very first time. It was such a pristine video presentation compared to my previous viewings on various home video formats including TV viewings...

9th of 20 Noirvember titles: Last night, after a long day of watching NFL football on my DirecTV "Sunday Ticket" package and seeing my Las Vegas Raiders get blown out, I decided to get the bad memory out of my pea brain by watching "Blood on the Moon" (1948) again on Blu-ray. It's what I...
