Good point. Originally, I had only seen the $4.99 titles because of the CheapCharts filter.

This is the biggest iTunes sale that I can remember in quite some time. Even those of us with really large libraries are very likely to find a few titles worth getting.

I'm confused about the issue with Willy Wonka. They fixed the upgrade several days ago, didn't they?

There are 3 different versions of Salt on sale. One is the Extended Cut (only in HD). The other two are theatrical 4K Dolby Vision/Dolby Atmos. I can't figure out what the difference is. They appear to be identical.

I've never seen the film, but would like to see the original version. I just was trying to avoid paying $25 to see it that way, but I may just have to go that route.

Does anyone know anything about the color timing on John Badham's 1979 Dracula? I'm assuming it's the muted colors from previous releases. Universal dropped a handful of $4.99 films a couple of hours ago and this is one I don't own.

Thanks for the tip. Just bought that one. I've passed over that one a couple of times over the years, but now is definitely the time to buy it.

The iTunes sale that just dropped has a pretty good selection. I'm filling lots of holes in my collection at $4.99 each.

I can't remember the deal with future 4K upgrades when buying in a bundle. Doesn't it depend on the last digit of the price?

I decided to get this one too. I have all of the other Connery Bonds already, so I've been wanting this one for a long time.

Plus $14.99 for Never Say Never Again. :D

Pretty much, although I was happy to pick up Lost Highway. I own the inferior UK release on Blu-Ray but it has a pitch issue. I never bothered to pick up the Kino release because of the price, so getting this for $4.99 means I can finally retire my old Blu-Ray.

For those who owned Gremlins from iTunes, it has just upgraded to 4K Dolby Vision.

Me too. The film RED has been missing from my library nearly two weeks now.

True Lies was on there a few years ago but got pulled at some point. It was re-added last week. The Abyss was added also, but only in SD.

True Lies is now available in HD via Vudu's M2D program. It's clearly an older scan but it's substantially better than any physical release so far (although it might be on par with the D-VHS release). It was totally worth the $5 to me.

True, but I was thinking there was probably never a code for that title and since it's not MA, I couldn't think of any other way one would own it on iTunes.

I don't believe it has. I bought the theatrical version (it went on sale a day or two before the Unrated) but it contains both versions of the film. The Unrated probably has both versions as well, but I'd check first.

I bought a copy of Oliver Stone's The Doors a couple of weeks ago in one of the sales for $4.99. I was pleasantly surprised to see it's already upgraded to 4K/Atmos/Dolby Vision.

Thanks for the heads-up on that one. Do you happen to know if it's from the recent scan that was put on Blu-Ray by Warner Archive?

There's no issue with it. Arrow licensed the film from Universal for Blu-Ray and had included it as one of their $3.99 iTunes sale titles a few weeks ago. Digital rights still belonged to Universal, so the Arrow version got removed. I believe Crawdaddy said the two versions were identical in...

It's a lot of fun, just know that the iTunes version is only available dubbed. I can't imagine what the reasoning is there since the DVDs had the Japanese track.

I guess I was wrong when I said I could find 30 or 40 titles I wanted. I checked my email and found 61 emails from CheapCharts overnight!

For those who've don't already own it, Lawrence Of Arabia 4K is now $4.99. I could probably find 30 or 40 titles I want from this sale. I'm going to sit down this evening and prioritize my wants vs what I want to spend.
