I believe someone mentioned The Two Mrs Carrolls last week and its inclusion in HBO Max’s March line-up. I took a look at a few scenes during my lunch today- not quite ready for Blu-ray, I’m afraid. Here’s hoping- I do enjoy this teaming of Stanwyck, Bogart, and Smith.
From your post to WAC’s ear! I’m a bit concerned that maybe Criterion licensed it. Who knows how long we’ll wait if that’s the case. No offense to Criterion- love the product, dislike the waiting.
Thank you! Yes, that’s the podcast I found. I somehow missed this when I listened originally. I appreciate the link/letting me know where to find the sound bite.
Random moment! I received my copy of Edge of Darkness today from Amazon, a month before the scheduled release date. No complaints- just wanted to tell fellow Amazon pre-orderers to be on the lookout. Can’t wait to watch!
Has anyone heard a recent rumor about the release of Raintree County on Blu Ray? A gentleman from the fan-made Facebook WAC group shared the recent Extras podcast and said George Feltenstein made such an announcement. I’ve listened to the podcast twice and heard no such announcement. So confused!
I'd imagine they'll start the next round of announcements at some point next month. Not sure if WAC will release the news now that Mr. Feltenstein has returned, or leave this to Amazon.
I forgot to ask: does anyone here have any inside information on whether or not we should anticipate more releases in December? WAC offered a robust line-up last December, yet I know it's also a short month with the holiday season. Just curious!
Will definitely purchase both! Still hopeful to see High Society or Life with Father in December. Call me an eternal optimist, but I'm also persistently stubborn, and will wait out these releases :)
Dear, WAC, please release Ivanhoe, The Prisoner of Zenda, Scaramouche, etc, so I can stop having to read about these damn films for several days in a row.
Thank you- an avid HTF reader :)
I, too, love Deborah Kerr and am a Kerr completist. Not really sure why you felt the need to shoot down one person's opinion about already subjective terms, but you're correct, to each their own.
