Posting here for those not subscribed to the other thread, poker night is a go for Saturday night (4/14) http://www.hometheaterforum.com/htf/...189769&page=19
It is an open invitation. Turns out that Saturday was just booked by my social director. :) For Friday, I have one yes and two 'possibles' in addition to myself.
I'd like to get to 6 or more yes's.
Our stakes are pretty low. It's a friendly game of Texas Hold 'em. I'm usually one of the big...
Was thinking of hosting a poker night on Friday. Any interest? I just realized it is Easter weekend, so folks may have plans. But, if we can gather a critical mass, lets do it. Otherwise maybe next weekend? I have a new poker table that I'd like to break in properly! :)

Hey Hank -- I've sent a couple of emails your way from my hotmail account with no response, maybe they're blocked by your spam filter? Anyone up for a movie night sometime in upcoming weeks?
Hi everyone... I'm going to try to make it tomorrow, but I may end up having to work -- supporting a team in Singapore can make for crazy conference call hours (especially since they often work on Saturdays). Thanks for the call, yesterday, Hank! :)
We've got enough to call it a "HTF Movie Night"! :D
So lets get this party started at say 7:30. PM me if you need directions.
Nils, Tubes, Bogey -- prime seats are still available!
Greg, please accept our condolences. And thank you for taking time out to share your thoughts with us. -------------------------------------------------------- I think I'll postpone the movie night until next Friday or Saturday. This Sunday seems a bit awkward with my giving everyone late...
Any takers for a Sunday showing of ESB?

Anyone for a movie night at the Anson Hillside Cinema on Sunday night? Potential movie nominees include Hellboy, any flavor of the original Star Wars trilogy, ??? ps. Dr. J, if my movie night interferes w/ the Monster Legacy let me know and I'll happily reschedule.
Hank, do you want to fire up the grill (we'd be happy to bring the fajitas) or commence the festivities after dinner? Alternatively, I'm happy to host a night of grilling/movies/poker.
We may be game for that, Hank. Let me talk it over with my social director. Her sister may be coming into town, any prob with bringing her along? She's relatively well behaved. :D
Sounds like we missed a good time. :frowning: Was helping my brother pack up to move. Could have used a couple of fajitas and margaritas!
Hopefully work will slow down enough so that I can resume my regular contributions to the Austin HTF poker fund. :D
John,
Your room is a tad smaller than mine (18x27x11) and I've got three rows and room in the back for a concessions area. I converted part of my basement (yes, a reall live basement in Texas! :) ). I think it'll work great! You don't need great carpentry for anything except maybe the trim...
I think I caught something on my plane ride back from down under (hopefully just a cold). :frowning: Yall will have to wait until next time to take my money.
Playoffs?! Don't talk about playoffs! You kiddin me?! Playoffs?!?!! I just hope we can win a game...
Best rant, ever! http://www.kfan.com/audio/jinglebank/PA_playoffs.mp3
Woohoo, the bar chairs arrived much earlier than anticipated.
We'll have plenty of popcorn and soda and whatever beer I have left from Thanksgiving (how's that for appetizing? :D). Please feel free to supplement with your beverage of choice, but please don't feel obligated to bring anything...
I'll definitely be firing up the popcorn machine. I picked up a copy of the Indiana Jones trilogy, but thanks for the offer, Hank. With Rhonda and her hubby confirming, we'll have a full house.
The movie for the 6th will be Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark followed by Pirates of the Carribean for those who are up for it. Showtime is 7:30pm. Get there at 7 or 7:15 for the "tour." :)
If you haven't been over to my place (I live in Lakeway), PM me with your email address...
Okay, it's "official." Saturday, December 6 will be the first movie night at the Anson Hillside Cinema.
I'd like to limit attendance to no more than 10 or so. So far, Hank, Greg and Jonathan are in. I'm open to the choice of movie, but reserve the right to veto. :D
