    Gay-Friendly Blu-rays

I tried all the sites I use (Prime, Netflix, Hulu, Peacock, Apple+) and found nothing. Amazon has the DVD/BR to purchase but not to rent. I'm wondering if the opening scene is the reason. It's listed as Unrated, but I'm thinking it may have been rated X for that scene (I have not seen it, so...

Peacock - NBC/Universal Streaming Service - Official Thread

Hulu (ad-supported version) CONSTANTLY ran ads for GoodRX. It's a worthwhile company, but before EVERY damn show???

I attribute it to getting older AND it's a great way to watch without having the volume too loud and disturbing my entire apartment building!

The SNL channel is currently running the 40th anniversary show (so many great memories!) and there hasn’t been a commercial in an hour!

Interesting observation. I watched the first episode of The Munsters today on the free ad-supported version. There were three minutes of ads at the beginning of the show, but nothing during the show! I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be that way but I’m sure not complaining!

Pre-Order Psycho (1960) 60th Anniversary Edition (Blu-ray) Available for Preorder

It APPEARS that some of the edits came in 1966. CBS was scheduled to show Psycho on its Friday Night Movie show on Sept. 23, 1966. A murder in suburban Chicago (still unsolved) a very short time before the airing date caused CBS to shelve the showing out of sensitivity to the family...

I was REALLY surprised to find that no service offers this to stream/rent or buy, and it's not available to check out in the 85 branch Chicago Public Library!

Peacock - NBC/Universal Streaming Service - Official Thread

I downloaded the app onto my iPad last night. I use Xfinity (Comcast) for my internet only. Here's what I have found: The "free upgrade" for Xfinity customers appears to be if you have the Flex cable box (or, I'm guessing, some sort of TV package with them). Apple+ asked me to "connect" to...

Pre-Order Psycho (1960) 60th Anniversary Edition (Blu-ray) Available for Preorder

I think the "R" was given to the story content, which at the time WAS considered "edgy" and controversial. The Peeping Tom, the murders, the shower scene (while not explicitly violent sure implies a lot) and the cross-dressing were all pretty intense storylines sixty years ago.

Pre-Order Psycho (1960) 60th Anniversary Edition (Blu-ray) Available for Preorder

If I'm not mistaken (and someone WILL correct me, I'm sure!) two scenes were trimmed, the shower and Arbogast's death. The second scene apparently has much more impact. I believe it's not a huge difference in running times.

    Love, Victor (Hulu)

Hopefully this will get a second season. The last episode is really good (mostly) and parts of it rival the last scenes in Love, Simon. I was ALMOST convinced that they would "cop out" but the last episode and they leave a LOT to be followed up on. I'd give it a 3.5/5 for the series.

    Love, Victor (Hulu)

Love, Victor is the sequel to the movie Love, Simon, taking place at the same high school with a new cast of characters but with connection to some of the film's original cast. Victor and his family movie to Atlanta from Texas for his father's new job, taking Victor and Pilar (his sister) from...

UHD Review Love, Simon UHD Review

I recently rented this, having missed it in the theaters, and felt it was required viewing before watching Love, Victor (the sequel now on Hulu). I'm SO glad I did! The cast of teens were great (I love Katherine Langford after seeing her in the first season of 13 Reasons Why) and I agree that...

Complete Carson Tonight Shows coming to Antenna TV

I wasn't sure if I should start a new thread, but Amazon Prime has about a half dozen "seasons" called The Johnny Carson Show available for streaming! They run about an hour each and are edited (the opening credits are not original) and they are grouped into themes (Carnak, Joan Embry, 80's...

Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again! (2018)

Also, remember ABBA are (and always have been) HUGE overseas. The first movie did $671M worldwide and MM2 did $475M. Yes, a substantial drop, but not bad on a $75M investment.

Music production on the Mac (AKA Apple releases Logic Pro X, finally)

@Sam Posten I have found that it's almost easier looking at the tutorials for 10.4 (LOTS of them!) and then adapting them as best as I can. It's definitely a "learning curve" but I'm loving it!

    Hollywood (Netflix)

@Hollywoodaholic I COMPLETELY agree about Holland Taylor! I loved her in this! I really like Patti Lupone, but I think it was more her character that I enjoyed more than it being her. It gave me a new appreciation for movie making during that time and the whole "studio system".

    CBS Online

While it's not anything you asked about, I did a free trial recently. (And I assume you are referring to CBS All Access, right?).
