This is essential for a character driven costume drama. And then we have Keanu, who’s “surfer dude” passiveity brings everything to a mumbling...

I’ve probably played “Cabaret” most often through the years. Not only is it a marvelously crafted film with an unforgettable “star making” performance by Liza, but friends are amazed with the “musical” that trounced “The Godfather” winning (8) oscars!!!

Not to mention “Goodbye Rhett Butler”…Robert Donat unexpectedly triumphed over Clark Gable by winning the 1939 Best Actor Oscar thus upending the GWTW juggernaut somewhat..,

Has Darren or anyone else brought this to Marty Scorsese’s attention? He loves a “dark horse” project and knows everybody! One well placed call by him…

Here’s hoping that Columbia includes “The Last Picture Show” in the next boxed set. It’s been available on blu-ray only as part of a Criterion boxed set. I’ve been waiting years to see it available as a stand alone title. With the recent passings of both Peter Bogdanovich and Larry McMurtry...

Some good opinions, but the subject is still a bit deflating…We really need all film or television shows to be restored as originally debuted. The respective eras represented are what make them unique…Let the chips fall where they may and give future audiences the right to judge for themselves.
