My main concern is if I get the Nad will there be much difference between it and my Denon DCM_370 that I have now as far as sound. Or should I just go ahead and pull the trigger on the Jolida.
Can anyone give me there opinion on these two cd players? Currently running Denon 988 with rc -70 fronts, rc-50 rears, rclcr center and hsu stf-2 sub. Two nad 275 bee amps. If there would not be a major difference between the two then I will just go with the nad for 399 vs 999 for the jolida.
1000.00 for a cd player is a little over my budget right now. I am trying to decide between the cambridge audio topaz cd10 and the nad c 515bee. Anyone have any experience with these 2? The nad has really good reviews. I am stuck between these two players. The nad is 300.00 shipped at spearit...
What processor are you using? If your marantz sounds brighter via analog then your dac's in your processor are better than those in the cd player. I will be running my cd player by analog. I'm glad you told me about the marantz because I was kind of afraid of that lol! I think I am going to go...
I have a denon 988 with a nad t955 amp. Running 2 energy rc-70's up front, rclcr center, rc-50's in the rear. A hsu stf-2 sub. I have been reading about the harmon kardon hd990 and have heard about lots of issues of vibrating and skipping. No complaints about the sound ugh! Something always...
THANK YOU FOR THAT GREAT RESPONSE! I have also been looking at universal players such as the cambridge 751bd. I wanted a multi-disk player for just casual listening so I wouldnt have to keep changing disk over and over. I am so glad you told me about the marantz I almost pulled the trigger on...
I am looking into purchasing a new cd player but I am stuck on the two choices cambridge or marantz. Does anyone have any experience with these? I am looking for a warmer sound. Would rather have the 5 disk changer for occasional listening but it depends on the sound differences between the two...
I have the Nadt955 but thinking about selling and purchasing 2 Nad 275bee's. That would be 150 watts into 4 channels versus only 100 into 5 with the T955. Any thoughts?
THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP SAM I HAVE BEEN REALLY FRUSTRATED. SOUNDS LIKE YOU KNOW ALOT ABOUT ALL OF THIS. I THINK I NEED TO HAVE AN ELECTRICIAN FIX MY WIRING ISSUES AND GO FROM THERE. I AM ALSO WONDERING IF THE POWER ISSUE HAS DAMAGED MY DENON? I HOPE NOT. IF SO I WILL JUST GO FOR THE MARANTZ...
YES I HAVE BEEN COMPLETELY CONFUSED. BEFORE I BOUGHT THE ENERGIES I DID MY HOMEWORK ON LOTS OF SPEAKERS. THE ENERGIES WERE THE BEST BANG FOR THE BUCK FOR 399 EACH AT VANNS. I READ SOME MANY REVIEWS WERE THEY WERE NEUTRAL TO SLIGHTLY WARM SOUNDING. YET I HAVE THIS PROBLEM. UGH!
I HAVE THE NAD T955 HOOKED UP BUT IT KEEPS THROWING MY BREAKER AND NOW I AM GOING TO HAVE SOME WIRING DONE. I COULDNT LISTEN TO IT LONG ENOUGH TO TELL MUCH. I AM JUST TRYING TO FIGURE OUT IF ITS MY DENON OR THE ENERGIES. I CAN STILL RETURN THE ENERGIES IF THEY DONT WORK OUT.
I AM ALSO RUNNING A DENON DCM-270 CD PLAYER VIA ANALOG INPUT BUT IT STILL SOUNDS THE SAME. WHEN IT IS PLAYING AT LOW VOLUME IT IS NOT AS BAD. I JUST FIGURED SOMETHING WAS WRONG WITH THE AMP SECTION OF THE DENON.
Can anyone tell me if they have this setup? Currently running a Denon 988 and the sound is awefully bright. I have the manual EQ almost completely bottomed out and it is still bright. When I turn the EQ off it sounds like it's playing through a drink can. HORRIBLE! The energies have only been...
