Yes, I'd prefer to have them on a shelf on the wall with the wires coming out of the wall or them on some sort of bracket- that's what we did at our old house
I'd prefer wall speakers. No budget really but this house is costing alot of money so I'd prefer to get something less expensive but still decent. I can upgrade in the future. I don't need anything super fancy. Last house we had a Denon receiver with Boston speakers and that was great.
That's weird my image didn't come through- it's showing up on my end. Ill try uploading.
I did read over the Dolby 7.1.4 layout and that seems like it would be the best option. So do all the front, side and back speakers go at ear level? I assume the ceiling ones are just flat or are those...
Hi all,
We are building a new house and this is our second home theater. My first one I did myself as a newbie so I'm still learning. I will be wiring in all the speaker wire in a couple of weeks and I'm wondering how I should be placing my speakers. We have 2 rows of seating with another...
The back of our couch on the lowest level goes to 13’. So I’d say viewing is 12’ from the screen. I don’t want to go too small either that viewing from the countertop would be too far.
Hi all,
We are building a new house. Our basement foundation drops down about 13" where the screen will go so that we can have a couch on that level and then an couch behind it 13" higher. (See plan uploaded- it shows a platform, but we dropped it instead of building up). I was thinking of a...
I don't really want to move it up cause I think it would look odd in the room.. The picture isn't really to scale.
If I wire the speakers through the fuse box (it's more of a decorative box with a fuse box inside of it so there's plenty of space)...would the speaker wires interfere with...
I'm attaching a picure of my layout. The red box on the picture is where our fuse box is (rec room). It sits right above the top of the couch. I bought this: http://www.accessories4less.com/make-a-store/item/dendht1513ba/denon-dht-1513ba-home-theater-system-w/boston-acoustics-speakers/1.html...
I think we will just order the projector and kind of "place" it different distances from the wall. Once we find a size and set up that will work, I will paint the screen size based off of that.
I would prefer to buy the Acer if I can get it set up ok. Basically, I just measure 4-5 inches down from the lens and that's where the image will start? That's when it's mounted upsidedown on the ceiling, correct? I think I should be fine with it.. I'll have to measure everything and make sure...
