I don't know if this helps, but back when we did a lot of Socom online, on the PS2, a lot of people had no voice communication. Turns out they switched routers, from Linksys to Dlink, or Netgear to Linksys... we never found out why, or what ones worked best, but they all got it working again...
I agree, I don't think you can go wrong with any of the major labels. I've been getting Fuji lately at Best Buy, 50 packs have been dirt cheap. DVD-R, and DVD+R, no problems with any of them. I've used over 100 TDK's, and 50 Memorex as well, never had an issue. Just don't put those labels on...
I have this monitor. We ordered 8 of them a while ago for a 2 day show, used them for about 8 hours each day, then we bought them for the rental difference. I can say, none of us at work have had a single issue with them. I love mine. The Anandtech review is very good as well. Any questions...
I know you're running better, and Spybot and most other spywares will do this, but look anyway: Regedit, then go here: HKEY_local_machinesoftwaremicrosoftwindowscurr entversionexplorerbrowser helper objects Open the + sign up on the left pane, and delete anything under it, on the left...
MSN uses multiple TCP and UDP ports, from 569, 1863 and 6901. They may have more. They make it very hard to block, so it uses many ways to get out. You can do a search on MSN Messenger Ports and you'll see what I mean. It could be possible that the DSL router you have has some port blocking, or...
I understand your frustration, but if that has you down, oh man, just wait till the last couple hours of the game. You'll encounter some fights that will drive you nuts. Here's what I try and do. Use the walls! Use the walls a lot. Some guys won't let you hit the A button and jump behind...
Hi all, I currently have an older 19" CRT. My company gets large discounts on Dell products. I think I may go with a 17" LCD, the 171FPb. I remember everyone talking about ghosting and image tearing on LCD's. I was wondering if anyone plays games on a LCD... in particular, Unreal, Quake, and...
Hi all, does anyone know if a PC USB headset will work with Socom on the PS2. I heard you can use it for multiplayer, but not the single player game, where you can give commands. I really only want it for the multplayer anyway, can anyone comfirm this? Tom
Hi all, I wasn't sure the destructable DVD's were actually coming or not, but I am sure of it now. I'm an IT Professional, and the company I work with moved a company from one building to the next (50 Pc's 5 Servers), they are a graphics/label company. Anyway, I noticed a pallet full of...
Hello all, I recently took delivery on a Toshiba 57H83, I love it. The DVD's and Xbox/Gamecube Progressive stuff is simply amazing. I have calibrated it as best I could with Avia/Video Essentials. Now... regular TV... I need help. I live in Michigan, we have WideOpenWest as my cable provider...
My wishes for return: The Lone Gunmen Harsh Realm (give it a chance! 3 shows?) Earth 2 Freaky Links Brimstone And I can't believe no one else has said this, unless I missed it, but I want: The Others Doesn't anyone remember that show? I can't be the only one who liked it!
Hi Guys, Well, my 57H83 is in the house... not only do my DVD's blow me away now, but the Xbox games are outstanding. I may actually play some of The Matrix now, in 1080i, I may overlook the poor gameplay :) Same with Dragons Lair. I loaded up Halo of course, and then we played a game of...
Hey Chris, I'm in the same boat, I have a 57" HDTV coming in about 4 hours... I have the Xbox up there and ready, the Cube is coming up in a couple days when the Component cables arrive. I can't wait, I'll fire up Halo first, then move on through the other dozen or so Xbox games. On Cube...
