I dig some bad movies like Robot Monster. I dig Robot Monster so much I contributed $200 to it's restoration, that's how much I dig Robot Monster. But do you know how bad a movie has to be for 12 year old me to have hated it? I was much more inclined to like this movie 40 years ago and I didn't...
I don't care what anyone says, I love this movie. One of the funniest movies of the 80s in my opinion. A great slice of nostalgia that's as much a send up as it is an example of the genre. Everyone is in on the joke and it's just oh so much fun, especially Bob Denver as Gilligan as a bartender...
So, based on information it sounds like it's either Flight to Tangier or The Man Who Wasn't There (I suppose it could be both). Okay then. Thank you for answering.
In terms of vintage 3D, Paramount has four titles left:
Money From Home
Hondo
Flight to Tangier
the Man Who Wasn't There
Money From Home seemed to have been ruled out when Kino said nothing licensed to Olive. Hondo would be major but I'm not sure if it's likely. That leaves the other two.
We...
I wouldn't call this movie garbage. Bwana Devil is a better 3D movie than Arch Oboler's other two titles, especially Domo Arigato (which is just plain boring). Actually, I suspect that the film's unfortunate reputation has as much to do with the flat rear screen projection in various scenes as...
If a film is boring, badly acted, ineptly written, etc, I don't care how pretty the photography is. It's still a bad movie and no, I don't care to waste my time watching it. Hateful 8 has nice cinematography but I think it stinks as a movie and don't want to waste my time watching. I absolutely...
I watched this movie last weekend for the first time in 39 years. I didn't like it then and am not crazy about it now. The 3D is good, the movie is not. The 3DFA did a great job restoring it and I'm glad I got to see it in 3D, but I'm good.
But I always find it interesting that people want to...
Is it not possible that UCLA and Connie Elliot were aware from the get-go that CF and the 3DFA were going to massage the restoration to make it the best possible stereoscopic presentation? Perhaps they were even appreciative of that fact.
I think we can look at it as UCLA did the heavy lifting...
If you've read the book, the original version is much closer to the novel than the remake. Surprising but true.
It's also a much better film than the remake.
Rock making that joke about a random bald guy at a comedy club and making about Jada are exactly the same, though. The random bald guy could be bald for any number of reasons. Rock may not have known about the condition. And it's not the same as cancer.
You are literally victim blaming Rock at...
Again, whether the joke was in good taste or even funny, it still doesn't warrant someone going on stage and slapping a comedian. It just doesn't.
For the record, Regina Hall's "Covid test" joke was also outrageously in poor taste. But notice that Josh Brolin didn't slap her for it.
