Nailed it right there. But again, if this is a "party sub", then I doubt anyone is going to notice... however, if you ever intend on doing any critical listening with this, dont waste your time.
Another vote for the Tempest here.... great sub at a great price. You will get all the output you want with the Crown amp... Tempests are considered fairly under rated power wise. In a horn setup, 96 db sensitivity will get hella loud (to 123 Db @ 500 watts).
Foil will make no difference as it is the actual magnetic field off the magnet causeing the problem. You can get a second magnet to cancel the magnetic field, but they can be as expensive as if you just bought a more expensive sub. Just keep it away from your tv. ;)
Make sure you set a condition that you get a copy of the condo bylaws, and the purchase is subject to your approval of them. Youd be surprised by the stupid small things they put in there. ie: -No loud noise/music after certain hours (sometimes as early as 7:00pm) -No bags/boxes/etc...
Ive been getting more into this style of music lately, notably Enya and the Medieval Baebes... Im looking for more of a medieval celtic sound right now.. kinds like the stuff youd hear in movies stereotypical medieval pubs. Any suggestions?
Yeah, that littel "ghetto blaster" that was in there before is now going in the trash. Ive been meaning to disopse of that thing for years. :) Ahhh, married with children. Didnt they end up releasing the first season on DVD or something? Im going to have to find out. I miss that show.
Great speakers.. at least their older models were. Ive had little experience with the newer models mentined above.... Definately spend the buks and go to the reference line though if you can afford it. :)
A bar in the garage eh? Now THAT sounds like a great idea. :D Maybe I should put in a dance floor too? ;) Actually, now youve got me seriously thinking about plumbing in a wet bar. A bar fridge at teh very least. :D
Im completely stoked about this. Ive been listening to them for 5 or 6 years and have loved everytihnig they've done. These guys make my current Top 3 list for tunes to listen to. I cant wait now. :)
100 watts of earth shattering bass!! Capable down to 45hz!! I couldnt be happier!! Oh OK. I think Im the only one in the world who couldnt go without a subwoofer in the garage with my ceiling speakers. :p) For a cheapie ($65 CDN/$45US) subwoofer to kick around in the garage and...
