It's really quite a lovely movie, with, surprisingly, a life of its own. I'm not sure I'm ready to proclaim it best picture of 2021 (especially when I'm going to see Licorice Pizza tomorrow), but can understand why someone might be there already.
And the Atmos is essential.
I love Bringing Up Baby and couldn't care less if other folks don't. I just don't get all the hate for younger people who might not embrace it. I have two kids, one 32 and one 27 and sometimes they love old classics and sometimes not. And for all we know, it might be the "if you don't love...
My 65” LG OLED had a burn-in problem I couldn’t fix so, after 3+ years, I ditched it for...another 65” LG OLED (it’s a gorgeous picture) but also splurged for an EPSON Home Cinema projector and an Elite 100” tripod screen. Best decision I made. I don’t have to lose sleep about my TV dying, and...
My just-received replacement disc (also knocking around an envelope without any protection) has a series of similar but not the same numbers as you've listed. There are about 3 such numbers following similar number sequences but not identical. Given my old eyes I haven't yet tried to write...
I can't seem to navigate the menu on Twilight Time blu rays through my XBOX One player. Specifically, can't move the cursor to highlight any menu choices. Anyone else having this issue?
I love physical media, but I have to say, when I've streamed HDX films on Vudu, they look and sound pretty great on a 58" plasma display. No hesitations, rock-solid image, excellent sound. I'm sure someone here will explain why it doesn't measure up to my blu-rays, but I can't see that it's...
I'm toying with upgrading my receiver to one with HDMI inputs. The Denon AVR-1803 has served me very well for years - sufficient power, happy with sound, etc. What would be a comparable receiver, Denon or otherwise, if I wanted to upgrade? I get lost in the specifications, and would...
On two consecutive copies of the Blu-ray, the film goes into slow motion at the 58 min. or 59 min. mark (depending if you're watching the extended version), which can only be cured by skipping ahead a chapter and rewinding back. Anyone else having this trouble?
