The 1095 is a lovely amp but some folks have had mains noise problems with them which do not seem to afflict the 1075. Therefore, I would be hesitant to buy this amp online unless I was postive there was no electrical incompatibility.

I am partial to the Rotel and B&K amps, but a number of different brands are available, esp on Audiogon. ;)

You already know the answer to your question assuming you have read the posts in this thread, and besides its irrelevent what we would chose since YOU will be listening to the pre/pro, not us. Suggest you make a decision and go with it.:)

Get the Rotel. Sounds very good and a bargain. If you later decide you want something else, its very easy to sell for top dollar.

The Rotel is great and does not hiss. The Marantz is ok but has had some problems according to threads here and AVS. Only you can decide if any purchase is worth additional money. In regard to a sub, suggest you go to AV123 and look at a Rocket sub, UFW-10. Great sub for both music and movies...

$200-300? Your choices are limited and I doubt any receivers in this price range will be a noticable improvement over what you have. Suggest you stay where you are and save up six or seven hundred dollars to get a real upgrade.

If you are going to use the room eq, get the 3805. It also has Denon link for direct input of DVD-A/SACD from the the 5900 dvd player. I would only buy the 3803 if there was no way to stretch finacially to the 3805. YMMV.;)

Yogi, where is there documentation regarding amp changes from the 3801 to 3803? Is the 3805 using the same amps as the 3803?
