I've been reading that thread and it seems like it's the front runner in the $1000 range. Too bad we won't see a price drop in January since it just came out so I may be without one a little longer than I'd like.

Looks like the HC3800 is rated higher than both of the others, but st an extra $300. Can't find much about the Benq anywhere. Did it just come out?

I realized after I started researching that my budget would have to increase, especially going to a 1080p. I'm now pretty zeroed in on the Optoma HD20. any comments on that projector? Thanks

Excellent article. Based on my recent research I'm leaning towards the Optoma HD20, though st $1000 it's currently out of my budget. I'm hoping after CES in January that the prices will drop a little.
