Those must be UK release dates. The E-Space box isn't coming to the US until May. I'm definitely looking forward to some of these. The E-Space box, Deadly Assassin, and Image of the Fendahl will definitely have a place in my collection. But I'd like to see more Pertwee and Davison stories...

I'm not very knowledgeable about video games. But I'd guess that the game is either outputting a lower-bitrate Dolby Digital signal (448Kbps or less) or DTS, or a 2-channel PCM signal that your receiver is converting to multi-channel via Dolby ProLogic II.

I believe your receiver is one of the "defective" models that is unable to handle the 640Kbps Dolby Digital bitrate. This happens with some older receivers. Your options are to (a) use 2-channel analog out from the PS3 with ProLogic II decoding in your receiver, or (b) buy a new receiver.

My first DVD player was a Panasonic DVD-A300 purchased in May(?) 1997 for $700 (that was cheap at the time!). First Blu-ray player... PS3 for $399.99, early 2008.

War Machines didn't have Ahnuld. I can (and may) do without the McCoy serials, but the rest are must-haves. I do wish we'd see more Pertwee serials; the releases so far have been overly slanted towards the Tom Baker years.

Like the other posters have stated, if your speakers are set to LARGE then the receiver considers them to be full-range. This implies that they can handle all content, including low bass. Because they are believed to handle low bass there is therefore no need to route anything to the subwoofer...

It's not really a style per se. It's just an attempt at realism. In the real world, explosions and other similar sounds are much louder than the volume of a normal speaking voice. Now, overly loud background music... that's a stylistic decision, and sometimes a very annoying one.

Feeding a 1080i signal to the 65-inch Mits doesn't mean that the TV isn't displaying 1080p. The TV will take that 1080i input and will internally convert it to 1080p for display. With most content the result will be identical (or nearly so) to what you'd see if you fed 1080p to the TV.
