Dan, From what Ive heard copying at output wont be protected since HDCP is not rock solid to those who know how. The outcome is a plan for copy protection at disc level which will have no effect at all on commercial pirates since the moment the data leaves the players its a sitting duck...

I'll jump on board as soon as I see a reasonable number of titles being released. I wont expect whichever format I buy to win a war but as long as I can get 50-100+ titles I really want over its life cycle I'll be happy enough and if another format wins I'll look out for a dual format player...
