edge and corner focus really isn't a top priority for manufacturers of CRT RPTV's. 99% of people focus their eyes onto the center of the screen, this is also where most of the action in movies takes place. Now if you use it for any computer work or videogames that may have static images in...
no, you will need something else to convert the 720p to 1080i, because it will not upconvert nor display it. it will just provide you with a very vibrant blue screen
you could. it is usually better to have the two fronts and center channel from the same manufacturer. surrounds are not quite as important, since when viewing movies approx 60% of sound comes from the center channel, and probably another 10-15% from L/R. the Athena AS-F2's are a nice set of...
that definitely has not been my observation. Sound and surround quality/quantity seems to vary greaty from one DVD to the next. some studios I guess refuse to follow guidelines. I prefer DTS ES discrete to DD EX. But there is almost no DTS ES discrete DVD's
what do you mean? the only name I...

this is sometimes true, Monitor Gold Ref series is a good example. However, good solid speakers, especially towers, should have a good weight behind them. Do you think a speaker is going to sound as good with 1/4 in plywood instead of 3/4 MDF?
I was reading the specs. The weight on some of them is low for a big tower. Low weight means they are using thinner MDF panels or maybe even particle board. Maybe for that price you got to assemble them yourself
I've pretty much decided in my mind that I am going to go DLP projector. Ease of use, no hassles with a big bulky installs, and better warranty. Now I just need to go see some, maybe ill take a trip to Tweeter this weekend. I've researched a new TV off and on for about 2yrs, never could decide...
Well, I am actually leaning more towards DLP and just keeping my JVC for normal TV viewing. I'm gonna head to some shops maybe this weekend and check them out. from what I've gathered about CRT RPTV, ?questionable 720p support?, one hidden cost that is generally not mentioned is servicing or...
