My 2 cents worth on "Brothers Grimm"

With the passing of its founder, Paul Allen, Vulcan was moving away from its support of Allen's pet projects, of which the Seattle Cinerama was one. https://www.seattletimes.com/entertainment/vulcan-to-close-its-arts-entertainment-division-which-includes-cinerama-and-seattle-art-fair/

My 2 cents worth on "Brothers Grimm"

Sad news. First DC's Uptown (which had some traces of its Cinerama past), then the Seattle Cinerama, and now the Dome.

My 2 cents worth on "Brothers Grimm"

I'll respect this forum's Rule of Conduct #10 and not state my opinion of the nitpickers who are second-guessing what may be the most unexpected and amazing film renewal effort since Abel Gance's NAPOLEON. Instead, I will continue to enjoy my video library and its many Cinerama features...

Pre-Order PHE Press Release: My Fair Lady (1964) (4k UHD)

"As the title cards (MY FAIR LADY -- starring Audrey Hepburn -- Rex Harrison -- etc.) fade from one to the other, each new credit or set of credits begins to fade in before the previous one has faded out. Therefore, at each fade, two sets of lettering momentarily appear one on top of the other...

A Few Words About A few words about…™ The Broadway Melody of 1940 – in Blu-ray

My copy is pre-ordered from Deep Discount and I hope will arrive soon, given the transitioning of Warner Archive (the Blu is nowhere to be found on the current WBShop website or on Amazon, as of today). I have the Rhino Handmade CD soundtrack, and I always found it interesting that the biggest...

I would argue that "I Enjoy Being a Girl" is somewhat of a R&H standard. And it's "Rodgers". I'm also looking forward to this release.

    Mommie Dearest (1981) - Paramount Presents - June 1, 2021

His commentary on the Taylor-Burton BOOM is worth the price of the disc by itself.

Maybe "The Conqueror" will be next weekend's announcement. ;)

While we await the next Warner Archive Announcements...

It would seem to be easily proven. The less talented executives focus more on quarterly earnings to make their compensation incentive benchmarks, whether or not their actions cause long-term damage to the company. Maybe because of that, they also seem to be the ones who don't stay long at a...

While we await the next Warner Archive Announcements...

While I was disheartened to learn about the layoff of Mr. Feltenstein, I am equally concerned about the fate of Warner Bros. Motion Picture Imaging. Maintaining and monetizing a corporation's legacy and intellectual properties would seem to be a no-brainer, but "no brains" seems to be a mission...

A Few Words About A few words about…™ The Greatest Show on Earth – in Blu-ray

When I watched MANK on Netflix, I had to rewind a part of the film to confirm that I was actually seeing cue marks at times. (Obviously fake ones). Maybe the film received all those Oscar nominations this week because there are lots of cue mark fans in the Academy. LOL

UHD Review A Few Words About A few words about…™ The Ten Commandments (1956) - in 4k UHD Blu-ray

I knew you did, of course. I am keeping my pre-order, since I have a fairly large projection screen. Plus, I want to lend my support to Paramount for finally resuming disc releases. So it shall be written, so it shall be done.

A Few Words About A few words about…™ The Greatest Show on Earth – in Blu-ray

Strange, it's been available for pre-order and release date delivery on both amazon.com and amazon.ca. Maybe the abstract cover art is confusing you.
