While we await the next Warner Archive Announcements...

I just saw the two Hepburn/Tracy announcements, I am thrilled. In all likelihood I'll be purchasing several of their upcoming blurays directly from WarnerArchive at full price just to show WarnerArchive these are what I would like to see more of going forward. Otherwise I may have to wait until...

Press Release Warner Archive Press Release: Million Dollar Mermaid (1952) (Blu-ray)

Beyond thrilled that Million Dollar Mermaid is coming on bluray and yes, I love Jupiter's Darling as well! (I'd also vote for the very enjoyable Duchess Of Idaho.)

Pre-Order Warner Archive Press Release: Strike Up The Band (1940) (Blu-ray)

Other than Mutiny On The Bounty and the 1939 set, 1940's Strike Up The Band may well be one of the earliest MGM films on blu ray.

Pre-Order Warner Archive Press Release: Strike Up The Band (1940) (Blu-ray)

Absolute Day One Purchase - especially since this is one of the dvds that almost everybody had trouble with in that Garland-Rooney dvd set.

Movies & Cinema during the Pandemic? Catch-all Discussion

I hope those behind the death of the Ziegfeld Theater regret their decision to close it. If ever there was a theater big enough to pack in a lot of people while still social distancing i was the Ziegfeld. Manhattan had absolutely no need for another, now essentially useless "event space"...

Movies & Cinema during the Pandemic? Catch-all Discussion

Swinging this back to Movies and Cinema, I have to ask, how do some of you watch these films? Do you not watch films from the eighties and nineties without even subtlety noticing how many scenes in airports or office buildings would either need revision or be completely impossible due to...

Movies & Cinema during the Pandemic? Catch-all Discussion

A simultaneous worldwide pandemic, massive sudden unemployment, the collapse of the world's stock markets and the intense dislike for certain political leaders across various countries will have a huge impact across our culture and "old habits" in ways we cannot even imagine. This includes...

While we await the next Warner Archive Announcements...

My order was shut down right as I was about to finalize the purchase. Based on their evident administrative and warehouse location, I wonder if the upcoming new releases will ship as scheduled, and if future monthly releases will even be announced until after the new restrictions are eased, or...

In the scheme of things it is not important, but I had been looking forward to this sale for a while, too. Those titles were going to be my "escape" during these next few weeks....or months. I even included a few titles (To Please A Lady/Jeopardy, The Racket) that were defective parts of box...

Is it time to talk about coronavirus?

Oh wow, my Mom is also 90 years old and does not go out either, other than doctor appointments. My concern extends to her overnight aide, who also works in a nursing home. I now make her wash her hands as soon as she gets in, before she even says Hello to my Mom.

Kino Lorber Insider (Read Guidelines Post #3)

KinoLorberInsider: Following up on 2 older questions to which I did not see responses: Will the Bob Hope "The Cat And The Canary" bluray have any extras? Does last year's New York Stories bluray have a new transfer or the same transfer as the 2012 MillCreek bluray? Thanks!
