Thanks for looking for me. After talking with my wife, she‘s thinking that if we upgrade the receiver we should probably put in 4 ceiling speakers. So rather than a 7.1 we’d need a 9.1 receiver (but I’m a complete newb at Atmos stuff so I don’t even know if that’s accurate)

Thanks for clearing it up. So does it really matter then which HDMI out I use on the UB420?

Poor meaning that the audio sounds muffled and less crisp than the PS3. Same discs and same sound levels, checked with a meter. I'd love to get a new audio setup, and will in the future, but I'm sure there is an optimal way to connect things with my current set up...for now.

Any particular model you'd recommend and links on where to purchase a receiver that's a few years old?
